“I went to Dino's today craving a sandwich however their credit machine is down so I came here instead. Very happy to try this little gem spot, I must say it was the best panini I have ever had. Turkey and Havarti panini. They warm it up which added the perfect touch. The salad bar buffet had everything you can think of and you can stuff as much as you want into your container. Huge portion size. Friendly service, and clean environment. This is going to be my new GO TO deli . (Sorry in advance Dino) I was told to try the buttertarts and I totally forgot. Next time!”

“I recently attended a wine tasting dinner event at Fresh Baked Consulting. The event was in partnership with Wine Journeys in Barrie. The food, wine, and the entire experience were wonderful. I’ve enjoyed Jennifer’s baking for over 30 years and have done baking and cooking classes with her before, but I had never experienced one of her dinners. Her four course meal was delicious. I have never liked shrimp before, but may now be a convert. Jennifer’s space is fun and gorgeous, an ideal spot for private dinners or small parties. She is a warm and welcoming host. I look forward to returning for more events!”

The restaurant is super nice and well managed. Glad to see a classic truck stop resturaunt still surviving and still offering home style meals. 9/10 overall. Definitely recommend it for any truckers/travellers needing fuel/bite to eat”

“This is a Korean restaurant in Washgo, ON and probably is one of the few if not the only one. Keeping that in mind, I got the Beef Japche (stir fried glass noodles with beef pieces and onions+peppers) Korean dish $14.95 + tax and partner got the Beef Bibimbap (Rice with Beef pieces and some veggies) $14.95 + tax. A little bit of Kimchi (fermented pickled cabbage), not great taste, was served on the side. The Japche was okay however the Bibimbap was steep price to pay for barely any meat and too much rice with no real Korean hot sauce to serve; was given Siracha. No side dishes (little tiny tapas) were served as per regular Korean affairs when you order platters. Two dishes and a coke was $42 after taxes and tip. Waitress was nice but she didn't know anything about Korean food which I think there should be some effort made to taste it and understand it. But hey kudos for exposing Korean food to the locals.”

“First time visiting this small downtown pub. We went between meal times and the place was quiet with maybe 2 other tables in use. The beer (Kilkenny) was good, though quite expensive at $8.50 a pint. The meals were a little variable. I had fish and chips. The chips were very good. The fish was very dark and the batter brittle, like it had been over fried, or twice fried. There was a smattering of coleslaw on the side as well. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich with fries. She said it was ok, but nothing special. The other meal was a poutine and it was a decent size and the gravy was good. For the 3 of us with. 2.5 pints of beer and a large wine + the meals, it $93 + tip. The service was ok. There was just one person running the front at the time we went, but he was reasonably attentive in that small space. Overall I was hoping for a bit better on the food front, and maybe a better deal on the beer in a small family run place.”

“Incredible fish - totally the real deal. Owner is extremely friendly and let me know that his family is from Newfoundland and have been making fish & chips for decades. You can truly can tell it is an art passed town from many generations. It’s amazing and so delicious. Halibut is fresh with massive fillets. Will be back - likely weekly. Highly recommend! Next to a 24H laundromat which is very convenient. MMMMM!”
