“Delicious deserts and ambiance. Great tea and coffee. Enjoyed the customer service. They only accept cash, so be prepared. Great location and car parking. The portions of the desert were good for the price.”

“Pick Your Own Amethyst - Although an active Mine you really just go through the Fragments that have already been mined and Pick your Own Amethyst. Lots of good pieces to be found. There's plenty of amethyst around and interesting specimens exist if you take your time. We came on a day where new Mined fragments were just placed, so your mileage may vary. $10 seems a little steep for the "Tour" but we had "free coupons" offered by the Thunder Bay Tourist Centre.”

“Dorice is a Very nice owner. She could give you everything best she can, such as waterfront site, big pile of firewood for only $10 well worth than $30 nowhere else. The location is great, 35 mins to Sleeping Giant PP and to Thunder Bay, 15 minus to Diamond Willow Amethyst and 30 mins to Eagle Canyon.”

“My sister and I stayed here 5-7 October 2017. Very convenient to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, and wonderful views of Lake Superior. Maria provided a parking pass for us at the park so we were covered and even had a better map. She provided great insight to the park and cooked a huge breakfast for us before we headed off hiking for the day. Would highly recommend”

“Love love love. We are road weary on the tail end of a two week cross country road trip, and have seen some dang scary bathrooms. This place is SPOTLESS. The ladies running it are wonderfully kind and helpful. Wish we could see in the daylight because I guess it's got some beautiful views too. And a fabulous selection of beer for the end of a long day on the road. Maybe you'll open a cute little motel we can stay at sometime in the future? Thanks again ladies! Soooo appreciated! ?❤”

“Great store, excellent service. They have groceries, LCBO, propane, gas, fireworks, bird seed, a little hardware/home section on the back wall and much more. There is even a laundry facility in the next building attached to the pharmacy and restaurant.”

“What an incredible place! I got to stay here with a bunch of people I met on a greyhound a few years back. Lloyd and his wife were so welcoming and friendly. Such a warm and lovely place and the most beautiful nature surrounding this hostel. Its a bit hard to reach without a car but the greyhound people know about this place and will organize a drop off. It´s worth a visit!”

“The atmosphere here is so chill and relaxed - there are so many artefacts here, ready to tell a story... this place is quiet an experience!”

“Basically a public boat launch, with no beach. However, there is a dock and a ton of huge rocks to jump off of into the water. Plenty of parking with picnic tables, a gazebo and washroom facilities off the parking lot. We took a walk past the parking lot and into what appeared to be an old quarry. It brought us to these large slabs of rock which were perfect for sitting and dangling our feet into the water. Would definitely go back.”
