“Nice grocery store with good variety of fruits and vegetables. The best parts would be the takeaway grilled chicken, sushi and other meals. Also it's awesome to have a Subway and a Tim Hortons within the store. Perfect to do you quick grocery and fresh a bite from the same place.”

“Almost everything is available here related to daily use groceries. But produce isn't that much fresh that we want. If possible try to provide us with fresh groceries and organic produce. Else everything is good.”

“Editing my previous review. Time change and people change. The staff is helpful and friendly. What I really liked is that there usual timings are 10-9 but they’ll let you enter even when it’s closing time. They know what customer wants. Even I got some cookies and when I got home we saw that it was already opened. Somehow we lost the receipt but they exchanged it without the receipt. My mom was very happy to see that I can get everything at this place. Vegetables are fresh”

“The jams and pickles of Joanne's Urban Pantry are located at Bread Essentials (on Royal York Road) and various Farmer's Markets in the west end. I buy jars of this jam by the dozen because it tastes like fruit not sugar. It's great in crepes, on bread, in pb&j. I love, love, love Joanne's jams. Apparently she is known for her pickles which I have yet to try!”

“This is a smaller store but the produce is fresh and the selection isn't bad. They do not carry a lot of the pharmacy items (like the larger stores), and are limited in this regard. Service is good and I usually find most of what I need, and often more. Their cheese selection is much better than my local store, and I often come just for that alone. Plus, they sell double-yolk eggs and I have never encountered those in my neighbourhood store either. Personally, I like the store and I shop there whenever I am in the area.”

“I like this store for it's quality of food, ease of shopping (not too large), and it's consistency of shelving- I know where everything is. I don't waste time looking at products that aren't unrelevant. I have found the staff always pleasant and helpful, which is a rarity these days. I do find prices a shade higher than larger stores, but not outlandish so I often shop here. Seasonally, they have some farm-fresh produce outside as well as plants, herbs, and planters. In a small strip plaza, so you can do your banking, shopping at a pharmacy with post office, gift stores, hair salons, hardware, coffee shop etc at the same location.”

“I want to pay my compliment to an excellent staff member Crystal a the Yonge and Eglington Metro Store. The lady deserves a raise. She is kind and patient after another colleague of her rudely dismissed me because she started charging me for groceries that were already paid for!!! This rude person had a temper tantrum and left me and other customers in the customer service line. Crystal did not complain and had a smile on her face . She looked after all the customers with kindness and patience...SHE DESERVES A PAYRAISE!!! The other colleague who I mentioned about to the manager today deserves a serious lecture on manners!!!”

“Food Basics always has super deals but this location is always picked over. You'd probably have better luck and selection first thing in the morning. Bring your own grocery bags as boxes are rarely available.”

“Typical No frills. Not sure anyone in the area is happy at all. Customers or staff. Partner and I never saw a smile out of anyone. Selection was good and prices as well.”

“24 hours supermarkets are the best and this one specially because they keep 'em clean at all times. They have everything you would expect from large chain grocery store but I particularly love their flavoured sausages (sometimes they sell them as patties) and pretty affordable. I like that they come in small portion which is perfect if your cooking for one. This particular location has a good size bakery and I like their single slices. Their takeout I believed is cheaper as well. And finally, I love their guacamole they make in house. I've only seen it a couple of times and I think that it's better than Metro's taco sauce.”
