Food arrived fast after order is placed

The best chinese restaurant ever. This is the first one i ve been to 1991 and i still love it.

Sam Woo's BBQ duck is definitely one of the best ones I've had in Toronto. I generally don't like it when there's a lot of fat. Sam Woo's are usually pretty lean and it's juicy. Their other dishes are good too but I think they could be less greasy. They did forget one of our orders so we had to wait longer for food than expected.

This is a long time establishment that has survived while many others have not. Over the decades the quality of its food has always been good though occassionally there are some periods where the BBQ or dinner menu items are weak. I'm guessing this is from BBQ masters going on holidays or changing chefs....I guess they need time off too. Overall you can always get the best Chinese BBQ here compared not only throughout the GTA but the country!

We have eaten here often, but this was the first time in a while, and the first since some recent renovations. We arrived after 9:30 pm for an after movie snack. We had been craving hot and sour soup. We were seated promptly, and ordering was easy. A waiter came to help us when we asked if they still had one of our favorite dishes: deep fried pork intestine. Luckily they did. (It's on their late night snack menu, only available after 9:30pm). We ordered the hot and sour soup, Cantonese chow mein, salt and chili squid, and shrimp fried rice. As always the food is good. This restaurant makes my favourite hot and sour soup. It is a red colour different from other restaurants we've tried. It also contains shrimp in addition to the regular ingredients. Delicious. In addition, the servers were exceptionally friendly. It was a pleasant and tasty dining experience.
