“Tiny exhibit inside of a functioning university building and clinic, a quick 15 minute stop on the way to lunch. Perhaps more interesting for someone into optometry history, but the building itself is quite lovely and very comfortably air conditioned for the summer!”

“I find this museum pretty cool, and cute to walk through on a nice day. It’s well maintained, well laid out, and very organized. It doesn’t have the most exciting things in it and it’s a pretty quick walk through in my opinion, but it’s still nice.”

“Kitchener has a whole lot of cool happenings and a few fairly interesting people making it the unique town it is today. Victoria park, it seems has had a central role in that creation of coolness. Take Bruce Gress for example, local resident (of the park) who bought his very first bicycle with his very first job, who later restored the beautiful bike to donate to the Gallery in appreciation of the crucial role the park had in the story of his life.”

“The groundskeeper does a fantastic job keeping it tidy and in good order. There was a bees nest and he came out right away and managed it. The house itself is a fascinating little tour, complete with introductory film that my 8 year old really appreciates. Lovely place for a visit.”

“A really good visit. We also saw one of the Founders of the Museum fetching in supplies, a really nice person. The kids were energised and wanted to leave but I wished I had talk about his journey more.”

“Very nice experience. I loved the 14 minute intro video, they'd obviously spent time, money and effort on that part in particular. The museum itself was fascinating, and set up in a way that flowed, and didn't require a guide to make sure you saw everything. The price we paid was perfectly reasonable for the amount of time we spent and the level of enjoyment (quite high). Our 10 year old liked it just as much as we did. She enjoyed learning about the trompe l'oeil style and liked the outdoor privies quite a bit :P”

“If you like St Jacob, you should visit this exhibit at the basement level. The maple syrup museum may not offer too much infotainment, but you gotta be impressed with the miniature model of St Jacob town with trains running around it. The model is meticulously put together, it throws you back in time to see how the town evolved around the railway.”

“I used to work there. The gardens are beautiful. Nice atmosphere. Their children's classes are so much fun. I haven't been to any adult class, but I have great confidence in them. All staff is friendly and a special mention for Scott who had inspired me, thank you.”
