“Great spot for apple picking, admission is $3 per person and a 10lb bag costs $20. Rows are clearly marked and indicate which apples are ready for picking. Picked up some macintosh and gala apples which were delicious. Also offer tarts and candy apples too. Friendly service and would definitely recommend coming with friends and family.”

Hillside Park

Address: 352 Marsland Dr, Waterloo, ON N2J 3Z1, Canada

Park Point of interest Establishment Tourist attraction

“Lovely natural area in the middle of an urban area. Well maintained trails, some paved and some gravel. Not too busy when I went. Although I wasn't able to try it, as I didn't bring earbuds, the trail has a clever idea. There are signs with QR codes that permit phones to freely download (or maybe stream - not entirely sure) music from local musicians you can listen to while walking, running or biking the paths. And check out the (bad) photo! There was a barred owl only a few feet from the path! How amazing is that?”

He offered advise & allowed us to take photos of their recipes. We picked up 2 sample packs & honestly we can’t wait to dive into them. So fairly priced; 10x 50mL for $35!!! We also grabbed a bottle of the caramel moonshine to add to our collection. We will most certainly be back & can’t wait to do so as soon as we can book a tour/tasting!!!”

If you visit in the fall months, make sure you venture over behind the cemetary and check out the splendid views overlooking the Grand river. If you venture down the trail, make sure you check out the awesome metal walking bridge over the river.”

I lost my scarf asked at the kiosk and they found it and someone walked it over for me. I love this place. Good work we'll be buying passes next season. Thanks for the great day”

Chicopee

Address: 396 Morrison Road, Kitchener, ON N2A 2Z6, Canada

Point of interest Establishment Tourist attraction

“This probably isn't the review you're thinking it should be, because I haven't skied in years. But I really enjoy hiking, and there is a forest at Chicopee that has quite a few trails in there, mostly for trail bike riding. But since it is the depths of winter right now, I had the trails all to me and my feet. Great, well marked trails. Beautiful scenery as it was a forest with freshly fallen snow - can't beat that! Really enjoyed myself.”

West Montrose Covered Bridge (Kissing Bridge)

Address: 1 Covered Bridge Dr, West Montrose, ON N0B 2V0, Canada

Point of interest Establishment Tourist attraction

“Super cute historic little road trip to see the Kissing Bridge. Wearing a mask definitely helped as you walked through the bridge to mask the smell of horses. Seeing a horse and buggy ride through the bridge made it feel like we were in a different century. If you walk up the road a little but there is another placard that describes the bridge in more detail. Super safe to drive to different local history spots and learn something about what's in our own backyard!”
