Turkey Tavern

First time here and it was a wonderful spot with a home-y feel. Had a delicious turkey dinner with a beautiful apple crisp for dessert and very fast service. The gluten free option was also very tasty! Rob the owner even stopped by our table to say hello, he was very welcoming!

We went twice this summer and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The food is delicious and you definitely do NOT leave hungry. The Holiday Sandwich is yummy and the homemade cranberry sauce made me a convert. The Creamed Turkey is absolute comfort food. The Hot Turkey Sandwich was huge and the gravy is delicious. Can't wait to return next summer. This is a definite visit if you are in Cavendish and looking for a "home-cooked meal".

Tried the Turkey Tavern and absolutely loved it! An unique experience with a menu loaded with lots of turkey meal options. Everybody at my table enjoyed their meal. We had excellent service and felt we were really looked after. The food arrived piping hot which I love because I am a slow eater. The ambiance and rustic feel of the dining room adds to the unique experience. The biscuits are out of this world, and you leave very full and satisfied. Can’t wait to go back.

I cannot say enough about this place. First time trying this place, the first thing we noticed was the amazing staff, then service was prompt, location is so cozy. BUT the star of the show here is the food. We are pretty picky when it comes to our food and eating out and this place exceeded our expectations. Gravy, biscuits, turkey...all amazing. My only regret is not trying it earlier in the season. It is open until the end of September so we will be doing a repeat visit before the season ends.

Three of the four of us had Turkey dinner. Delicious. Turkey gumbo for the fourth - I tried it - delicious. Loved the smashed potatoes with the skins. The gravy left me wanting more. They whole experience was good. We’ll be back and I recommend that you give it a try.
