This is one of my most favourite trails in PEI. A must-do! Lots of wildlife and Indigenous history panels for learning along the way. Trail goes through trees, over a floating dock, and ends at a beach.
One of the most beautiful dune walks I've ever been on. We got there before sunset and the light was amazing.
Definitely go on the floating bridge and look for all the wildlife, especially the birds.
Not too long of a walk and it's basically pancake flat.
Beautiful spot for a hike. Not too challenging, on the longer side. Strollers are okay up until when you get to the dune and the beach
Truly one of the most beautiful places to visit while on the island. Best time to come is in the early evening for the perfect dreamy lighting, and less traffic. We seen lots of little wildlife 🥰 There’s a beach at the end, so maybe bring a towel to sit on / enjoy the views before heading back. About 2.5 km each way, easy trail / not difficult… only some stairs at the very end to access the beach. Bugs can be bad, so many cover up / bring bug spray.
I loved this trail soooo much. It was about 4-5km total to the beach and back to the car, so around an hour and a half. It’s so worth it for the long bridge that leads to the beach.
When I went there barely any people I encountered on the trail, so it was very calming. There weren’t really any mosquitos either which was great!
