“NICE surroundings, GREAT service and EXCELLENT food! We always jump at the chance when we see fried oysters available and they did not disappoint. Started with a cup of seafood chowder which is loaded with a ton of seafood and has a nice consistency. Really should of just had the chowder for a meal, it was very filling. Entree was the fried oyster dinner with huge amount of french fries. Oysters were nice size and so fresh tasting. Breading not too heavy. Husband had the onion rings, also good. I forgot to take picture of our dessert which was a maple cheesecake I glass jar. It was sooo good. I think a local baker makes all their desserts. Everything on the menu sounded good. I wish we were here another day to try something else!”

“It is a nice family run business, it seems, and the best part is they are open longer than most of the places on the island. I tried their lobster roll, which was one of the best ones I had. The lobster was fresh, and it had flavor. The bun was soft, and it was nicely balanced. It was for $28, so a little pricey, but I guess fresh sea food is expensive. Well kept place and fast service. The beer on tap is also good.”

“A cold September, after storm Lee found us in this area looking for places to visit: fortunately the tourists were gone which meant that very few places were open according to this website, gracefully detailing even opening times. We found this place and with only one table taken we were wondering how the food is going to be? The staff was simply amazing and our food was just great: we all had sea food which is so fresh in this area and great value for money. Great place, great staff.”

“A welcome change to the Cavendish restaurant scene! I hadn't been home from Toronto in 4 years and had heard lots about lone oak and finally got to experience it this year. Hits all of my wants/needs when visiting a Cavendish restaurant - Outdoor, but covered. Simple, well executed menu. Fast service. GREAT quality. We were seated for no less than 1 minute when our server came over and apologized for the wait. We ordered our drinks (a beer flight and a 16oz draft) and they arrived moments later. Our food arrived no less than 7 minutes after that. We each ordered the fish fry which was phenomenal, honestly though we could have shared one. There was so much food. Be sure to also check out their little merch/bottle shop. Lots to take home!”

“Great hidden spot. Got the coconut shrimp app Excellent. Got the seafood platter excellent. Fries were perfect. Fish looked like cooked in old oil but it was good oil, dark color was from something in the batter but tasted great. Wife got the fish tacos. Said she thought the salsa on the bottom was a bit too wet. She only ate the fish part and was excellent. Overall good prices considering a tourist seasonal spot. Would go back again.”

“I was lucky enough to go here twice on a recent trip to PEI. Service was fantastic each time. I enjoy a beer flight the first visit, a great way to sample their offerings and figure out what I liked. Had appetizers on both visits. The mussels were a hit with my companions, the cooking broth was very tasty. Nachos were a good sized portion to share and wings were flavourful. The patio is a really nice feature with great views.”

“Superb food! They only had half their menu available when we were there, but what they did have was FANTASTIC! We had the deep dish pizza and a chicken quesidilla. Fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked. Good sized portions also! They were short staffed but they hustled and got the job done. Would highly recommend this relaxed atmosphere place.”

“A small place located close to the confederation trail offering some truly delicious ciders. Red Island Cider is locally owned distillery producing some amazing ciders. There is a 6 flight option available for only $15. They have hand pies but they need 45 minutes to make. The people working there are super friendly. There is outdoor and indoor seating. You can buy cider to take home.”

“Great nano brewery and while they are small they do a great job of rotating their taps and always having a new beer to try. I really love Weird Clouds if you can get it but they always have a good variety. It's a great place to go to visit with other Islanders as conversations frequently cross over tables. The staff are extremely friendly and the owners are around quite a lot as well to help out. They have darts games you can play and you can bring your own games to play if you like. You can also bring your own food to munch on or order food from a recently added food truck in their parking area (Saucy Chicken). Excellent spot to go if you like beer (they do have local cider and wine available for non-beer drinkers). We are regulars here and part of their mug club. Highly recommend!”

“🐟 Taste: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5/5) 👉🏻 I ordered the Crispy Salmon, and the flavor was delicate and light. The only minor drawback was the slightly soft crust, but overall, it was delightful. 💲 Price: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👉🏻 The pricing is excellent for the quality and portion size. Truly value for money! 👨🍳 Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👉🏻 The staff were efficient and attentive, adding to the positive dining experience. 🍟 Recommendation: 👉🏻 If you're looking for another dish to try, I'd highly recommend their fish and chips. I had a taste from a friend's plate, and it was absolutely scrumptious!”

“This place is owned and operated by a local, Pauline Kelly, whom we met while we were there. A truly unique and affordable experience awaits you. My husband tried their homemade Mac & cheese, blueberry pie and Ice cream. I had the Tomato Basil soup & a biscuit, also homemade and my friend had Homemade Chili and a sandwich. There is also a farmers market on on Saturdays (organic products) and a beautiful artisan shop that sells locally made products such as quilts, paintings, cedar chests (small & Large).and numerous other items. A beautiful, comfortable, small dining room, accessible and clean washroom, a wheelchair ramp. Pauline has lots of plans like a pub, a is having a book sign w entertainment very soon. This place deserves lots of customers and wonderful reviews.”

“Absolutely marvellous place to spend an afternoon. The Terrace tasting room is perhaps one of PEI’s currently best kept secrets with lots of comfortable seating with choice of shade or sun and spectacular views over the rolling hills leading to the Northumberland Strait in the distance. An assortment of games are available as well as heaters and blankets should it get chilly. Sean was extremely knowledgeable about the products on offer and guided us through a flight of 6 different ciders with complimentary kettle chips to cleanse the palate. The Nomad, made from wild apples from across the province, was our favourite, and we got a couple more half pints of it because we just didn’t want to leave! Great assortment in the retail bottle shop as well. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. I’ve enjoyed their cider for a long time but there’s something incredibly special about the space they’ve created in Caledonia. Go for a drive and enjoy!”

“This was a total surprise find. We were driving down this dirt road to check out the lighthouse (visiting from Calgary) and came across this cute little restaurant at the end of the road. We had no idea it was even there so surprised they asked us for reservations. We didn’t have any but we were able to order take out and enjoy sitting outside on the picnic tables instead. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Even enjoyed a nice glass of wine. We went with a basic grilled cheese which was good. It’s a beautiful spot to soak up the water, views and just relax.”

“I grab lunch here almost everyday, their BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich is amazing and reasonably priced. The staff is very kind and inviting, they will even add items to your food if you want. I was thinking of getting the Hakka noodles or a BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich and the manager said he could add pulled pork to it and when I tried it, it was spectacular. This is a restaurant you can go to and feel like home in. I try to leave a tip every time I eat here. One of the best restaurants in Summerside.”
