“Nice hotel in a beautiful location. The hotel is older so some parts show its age but the rooms were comfortable. The staff was very nice to us. This hotel's COVID-19 handling was some of the best we saw, starting from a sink with soap outside the entrance to the reception (which is so much more enjoyable than that gooey sanitizing solution), they sanitized the counter at the front desk between guests and also sanitized all the pens used by the guests. We didn't eat at the restaurant (we had other plans), but it looked nice. There's a lot of stuff for families at this hotel. Mini-putt, as well as some games on the basement level.”

“I was a bit worried about appearances when we arrived. There's a weird tower that looks mainly abandoned. After being seating inside the restaurant, I was expecting an average meal, but was pleasantly surprised by the cod and the lobster rolls we had. The seafood tasted very fresh and was prepared nicely. The staff was nice and respecting of COVID-19 social distancing and etc. The recommendations they made to me were all very good. There was good spacing between tables in-use and the atmosphere was nice.”

“A wonderful and extremely clean B&B, with a fireplace, in room bathtub, restaurant and bar and a lot of nooks to sit and read. Rooms have views on the Saint Laurence. Highly recommended for a nice get away. Careful when driving here in winter conditions - extreme hills ! Only 15 minutes from Baie Saint-Paul ( only other alternative for food), a 45 minute drive to Le Massif and 40 min to La Malbaie.”

“If you are looking for a healthy lunch, this spot is a great option. They have veggie bowls and sandwiches. The decor is very quaint and they also have a huge outdoor garden. I had a bowl repas and found it fresh and tasty.”

“The staff at Chez Stan was extraordinary. My French is very poor however they were still able to help me by providing excellent service in English. In addition to the excellent service, the food was also great and the craft beer selection consisted of fine brews from the Charlevoix region.”

“An incredible restaurant. My wife and I could not get over how amazing every bite was and the relaxed environment makes you want to stay and keep sampling the delightful menu. What I’d give to know the recipe for the veggie burgers!!!! I never had a trout tartare before and maybe I won’t ever again u too I return. No question, this is where you should be eating tonight.”

“It is a typical fry joint..it was ok, I had a medium Italian poutine. The sauce was meaty, but everything was cold”

“The food is only ok, but I do enjoy the stunning young lady behind the bar. Such pretty, polite sounding Francais too...very refreshing after having to listen to that big-city hillbilly speech”

“If you don't know what to do in this island, this bakery is a must-go. Very nice employees and pastries are decent. What overtook everything was the coffee. Surprisingly good and a very remote region.”

“Good food in a bright airy location. We enjoyed the sandwiches. Great for kids - lots of space to spread out. Off the main tourist track so not quite as busy as some places. Lots of board games for kids (and adults) to play.”

“Great Casse Croute! Great Burgers and great poutine! Doesn’t have the usual “casse-croute” flavour everything tested good. No fries were bitter. Keep on rocking the freeway!”

“Excellent casual food. It’s a smaller menu but well prepared from scratch. Fries are fantastic. Lobster rolls are fresh and exquisite. Salads excellent. Desserts were great too. My favourite was the chocolate pecan pie. Service was excellent.”

“Had a great experience here. Sevice was excellent. Food was well served and had a great presentation. Asian fusion mixed with modern classics. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the price. I know we were dead center tourist trap but they could have lowered the prices by a dollar or two and it would of been perfect. I recommend this place.”

“Got pizza and the famous pudding chômeur. Admittedly the pudding wasn't as great as I hyped it up but still unique and tasty. The pizza was actually a huge surprise in that it was excellent especially given the reasonable price. Service was awesome too for takeout.”

“The highland beef lasagna was so tasty and my waiter was so quick on his feet going back-and-forth doing multiple jobs I felt definitely served a great meal here. I've even included a picture of the animals in the backyard of the restaurant which gave me some appetite, even for a half hour walk around. Thank you”

“Best microbrew in Baie St-Paul! The beers they have are great, don't miss out on the Fumble great IPA. Awesome food (free popcorn) as well the wings and pizza with spiced lamb was amazing. The best part however was the service, the people who work there are very nice, friendly, and attentive. It's not far from the main strip well worth the short walk for such a great patio. We can't wait to go back!”

“Nice diner connected to the hotel. It was very busy and they were able to find us a spot. Could have used another server as they were very busy but were able to keep up. We had the spaghetti and Caesar salad. Everything tasted like it was home made. All the other meals around us look delicious also. Would try here again.”

“So so good. Bring a date or loved one. Prices are soooo reasonable given the fresh local food. Amazing drinks. Super good chef and service by staff. I'm a bit shocked at how well priced this is and how amazing and unique the food was. You'll be a bit silly not to go here. Make sure you book the evening off as the courses may run long and come with stretchy pants. Thanks for having me!!”

“We stayed at the hotel bai Saint Paul near by and needed a change of menu. This place was clean, friendly and had more of a bistro feel. Updated. Cool. The restaurant smelled like fresh made food and we all had burgers. Great homemade burger with special sauce on a buttered, pan fried bun. Good fries, clean oil. Great value!”

“Une vrai cabane authentique! Si vous y aller avec le désir d'y vivre une expérience différente dans une ambiance rustique et chaleureuse, vous ne serez pas déçu. Rien à voir avec les grosses cabanes à sucre commerciale qui fonctionne au volume. J'ai adoré le dessert (la lichette à l'érable). Simple et efficace!”

“One of the better pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The owner was kind enough to let us in off hours. Can’t go wrong here.”
