“While it is a beautiful park there isn't much to do for young families now that the pool has closed. On the plus side a new pool is opening in town and it looks pretty decent. Lake diefenbaker is about half an hour away so you could make a day trip out that way to fish. All things considered it is a beautiful and clean park I just wish there was more to do than just golf”

“We stopped at Painted Rock for one night on our way from Elk Island to Riding Mountain. What a pleasant stop it was! A quiet and peaceful place with a nice family friendly atmosphere. Our two kids played all evening with the owners’ four (lovely and well-behaved) kids, and had a great time. Beautiful view of sunset and sunrise from our campsite. In addition, the campground is clean and well maintained. Sites are well sized and private. Excellent value and a lovely place to stay. Thanks to Dawn for her hospitality.”

“Thanks so much for opening this space to the public. I had so much fun exploring the trails and eating at the winery. (They even have pizza and cheesecake!) There’s hot showers at the front and with the teepees and yurts there’s all the comforts and amenities of home. The many hiking trails have a lot to offer, I even found a stream that spills into the Saskatchewan river. Napping in the hammocks next to the badminton net was the highlight of my day. There’s even a few play areas for the kids. Thanks again, I’m already looking forward to my next stay!”

Sunset Ridge Campground

Address: Dundurn No. 314, SK S0K 1K0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“A definite much needed improvement to the camping facilities at this woefully under developed park. The spaces are large and many have great views of the valley. Except aling the west edge of the campground the trees are small and in many cases dying or dead. Some of the trees will survive and grow providing much needed shade. The bathrooms are very good with flush toilets and working cold water sinks. The shower building is large but despite its young age is deteriorating. For two years in a row the same shower door on the mens side cannot be locked. The trees that are dying could easily have been kept alive with water bags. Considering the oversight of not only the government parks department but also the constant visits from Conservatism Officers working for Sk Environment and Resource management you would think they would have at least one person in charge of keeping trees alive.”

Saskatoon 16 West RV Park

Address: 16 Trans-Canada Hwy, Saskatoon, SK S7K 3J7, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“Not the best and not the worst campground that I've been to. Bad points...they need to enforce the speed limit in the park, there was vehicles more than a few times just racing through the park at speeds over 30k when the posted limit is 10k so not safe for kids. Big campers may have some issues as they need to trim the trees back I even saw a small trailer having issues parking because there side out was rubbing the trees. They really need to close the gates at 11pm because even past 2am there were cars driving through the park. No fires allowed kinda sucks but it doesn't is what it is and the WIFI is not very good. Good points. Close to Saskatoon, store is not to bad, and the people there are quite friendly. So for the choices that Saskatoon has for close campgrounds I would stay here again if I had to.”

Gordon Howe Park

Address: 1640 Avenue P S, Saskatoon, SK S7M 3L9, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“For a city campground, great quiet place. Sites are fairly close to each other, but most campers are respectful of others...we had neighbours that watched TV outside their rig, with the sound loud enough to be heard inside our rig...with the windows closed! Otherwise, great place! And right by a great walking path that led to downtown Saskatoon.”
