Judd Cove Preserve

Under 3 minute drive from Eastsound with easy parking and lots of room to stretch out. Can be cool most days (even summer) so bring long sleeves. Limited beach access - signs are posted.

Short, sweet walk (0.3 mi) to a cozy beach with a small waterfall.

Lovely spot. Tons of tiny crabs under every rock.

Sweet short half mile hiking trail. Loads of ferns! Pretty spring wildflowers. Lime kiln from when the island was used to mine and sell lime. Beautiful beach in a nice cove. Pretty little waterfall.

It has an interesting old lime furnace at the bottom of a wide well maintained road/trail. Just beyond the structure is a small rocky beach with lots of shells and a small waterfall on one end. I say small because it has private land very close on either end. The waterfall may or may not be on private land. There is also an unremarkable short loop trail back to the parking lot.
