“We discovered newly opened Sports Garage today. Located in a mixed use warehouse style new construction, the space is bright, clean and inviting. They consign/sell and rent/tune up bikes/e-bikes, new and used sports gear for all seasons. Staff were super friendly. It does appear that consignors can set their own prices - observed varied prices on the consignment but that’s pretty normal for consignment. This is a great shop, conveniently right around the corner from Canmore’s best thrift shop Crossway Community Thrift. Recommend Sports Garage (and Crossway too)!”

“We first chose Peter Kangas 14 years ago when we wanted to be involved in the design of our wedding rings. He was brilliant at listening to what we wished for. Peter was very attentive, and has an incredible eye for his work. To this day, I still love my ring more than any other ring I could ever have! Even the durability ( the ring was designed around my desire to wear it everyday) for such a stunning piece, it has held up remarkably! “Worth the visit! High quality plants, soils, and accessories. Amazing local vegetables in the veggie stand, we buy all our vegetables their now. Especially now that they have potatoes. The tea house is also amazing! Really good soft serve and other snacks and you can eat in in the very chill setting inside the greenhouse. They even had some ethically sourced Chinook salmon fillets for sale. We make it a bit of a weekly trip. Grab some groceries, a snack, and any plants, soils, fertilizers, or accessories we need to keep our patio oasis happy. Love this place!”

“I was in town and my Toyota Tacoma started having emergency power issues so I brought it right to Cam Clark Ford just before Christmas in December 2022 for a power emergency and was greeted by a kind professional and skilled staff member who quickly came up with a few possible solutions immediately giving me options as they where completely booked and had to work me into the schedule. “It is so good to have a proper cobbler in our town. I first visited this business because the model of cycling shoes that I like using is shaped in such a way that the tongue always rolls off centre laterally which lets grit into the shoe and it becomes uncomfortable. It also means that the shoe will wear out more quickly due to the abrasion. I asked the cobbler if it was possible to use an anchor stitch, on the medial side of the tongue, which would keep the tongue centred when the shoe was being worn. They very cleverly used the existing stitch holes, on the upper, to introduce a short line (1 cm) of stitches that anchor the medial side of the tongue and stop it rolling laterally. Sure it means taking an extra second when putting the shoe on one’s foot as only the lateral side opens now but that is a tiny consideration when one considers that they are now the perfect cycling shoe when on one’s foot. The additional sticking cannot be felt when wearing the shoe. They took about two weeks (they are always busy) to finish the job which was right in line with their estimate which is always pleasing. And they charge a fair amount for the job. So for $16 I have the perfect shoe with sewing quality that I could not manage to replicate. Kumpfy have now done this mod to the three pairs of shoes that I own from this brand (it appears to be a cycling shoe design issue with this brand but everything else about the shoes are so good that I am happy to get this mod done myself) My wife has also had this mod done to her favourite walking/ light hiking shoes so they have been upgraded from “excellent” to “perfect”.
