“My wife and I got married here last weekend. Absolutely beautiful location and property. Our entire weekend went off without a single hiccup. Lenny and his staff were so friendly and great to work with. They treated us like family while we were there. The food was excellent and accommodations were nice and cozy. We owe a huge thank you to the staff at Goldeye for hosting an unforgettable weekend. I wish we could have stayed longer so we could fully take in everything that this place has to offer.”

“Staff is friendly and helpful. The hostel was pretty full and still lots of room to find your own corner and read if you wanted to. Large kitchen and the staff kept everyone mindful of the quiet time hours. Definitely recommend going for a family or a solo trip. Will be back. Best advice I received years ago while travelling, be it a hostel, hotel or whatever bring a face mask and earplugs so you can enjoy your stay on your own terms.”

“We stayed 4 nights in the Chickadee Cabin. It was perfect! Extremely clean, private and cozy. Lowell was a great host and his dog Smoky, once she accepted you, was a sweetheart. The cabin has everything you need to cook your own meals, I even discovered a new spice I love! Everything you need to keep the place clean is supplied. Little deck was so cozy we enjoyed many hours out there listening to the birds and being entertained by squirrels. The BBQ was appreciated and had plenty of propane. The bed was comfortable as well. The price is very reasonable. I can't wait for next time! In reply to Cheechako Cabins: lemon garlic spice, or maybe garlic lemon? Delicious on potatoes with butter cooked on the BBQ!”

“The location was beautiful and there is a really nice walking trail the winds in behind some of the campsites. The sites themselves are right next to each other with little/ no distance or barriers between campers and a primary road way is just outside the campside so there is a semi-regular stream of traffic that passes by. When we arrived the campground had several sites available but the owner put us next to the outhouses and made it so we were surrounded by other campers. We were camping with our dog so every time a camper came to use the outhouse, the door would slam and she would bark. It made for a very long night and could have been avoided if we had been given one of the available campsites closer to the back that was surrounded by other vacant sites. Other wise it was a fantastic stay.”

“Super friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to get me a keg of beer for a weekend party that I was hosting. They even stored it in their cooler until I was ready for it. The best part is the price was similar to what I was quoted in the city. I am used to paying a premium for things in Nordegg, so this was a very pleasant surprise!”

“The folks here were so friendly & they have a very cute set up! I ordered 1 scoop of foothills ice cream in a bowl and a homemade sugared donut. The ice cream was a generous sized scoop and fairly priced, but I was so disappointed in the donut! It cost over $4 and it was so hard and stale. I'd say it was a couple days old. I'd visit again but would just stick to the ice cream. The location is great, as you can sit out back and admire the spectacular view of the mountains and the beautifully landscaped golf course.”
