Findlay went above and beyond to explain things that I hadn't a clue about. I met with a couple of different contractors and there was no doubt after meeting with Findlay that he was honest, sincere, and patient. “If you ever wandered if serious and reliable contractors still exist - the answer is YES! We needed a concrete floor for our barn. We called 10+ contractors and companies, Straight Edge stood far above all of them. Dillon was competent in his advice and was responsible in his promises. He gave us a quote late in the fall, and promised to do the project first thing in the spring weather permitting. We touch-based in March, and April he was on site, as promised. Dillon and crew were extremely courteous and polite, kept the site clean, and most importantly - did a great job pouring the floor. And also he committed to his estimate from 5 months ago! “I'm so impressed with Bryan! Our first experience: I first spoke to Bryan, Oct 2020 with a stressful emergency situation. Initially my husband and I, hired a "different concrete company, who failed miserably in all areas!" We needed to find another company to salvage our concrete job asap. Before speaking to Bryan, I called a few other companies, and was either told they could fit the job in (with quotes reflecting very evident up-charging in our desperation), or they couldn't help us, understandably trying to wrap up their current projects before winter. Then I spoke with Bryan, and he literally "rescued our incomplete concrete job" from sitting unfinished over the winter. Incidentally this would have caused winter projects scheduled after the concrete, to be put on hold. Bryan himself was booked solid, yet he made time to get our job completed, "without gouging us, even knowing we were desperate". I believe it was because we were so desperate, combined with Bryan's kind character, that had him take on our project amongst an already tight schedule. To our absolute relief, he came through with "over and above customer service". Bryan is professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly CARES about his customers and workmanship!!! He and his team of staff take pride in ensuring each project is to the customers satisfaction. Our second experience: We hired Bryan to complete another concrete project summer 2021. A complication arose with color matching to an adjacent older original concrete pad. Bryan listened, and alleviated our concerns with his outstanding integrity and genuine care for his customers, making the situation right. Bryan has shown his motivations are not driven by profits, rather his INTEGRITY, PROFESSIONALISM and UTMOST CARE to providing EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE to his customers!! “We went through the process starting last year of getting quotes on our landscaping requirements - it got very frustrating and $$$$ so we decided to do part of the work ourselves. After researching different companies for providing the flagstone and crushed stone that we required - we came across Ornamental Stone in Calgary. The selection was great and the staff was very helpful in assisting us in selecting the product that we required - My wife explained to them about the issues we were having finding a landscaper and asked if they had any suggestions - they recommended Troy Boy Landscaping out of Okotoks. We contacted Troy and he and Kevin showed up at our house to go over exactly what our requirements were and made suggestions on how we could improve our original design. Troy provided an upfront quote for all the work we required (pavers, landscaping and vinyl fence). He and Kevin listened to any concerns or suggestions we had in regards to changes to the plan - He kept us up to date on what was going on and even bought all the product we required in advance of the job so that there would be no supply issues.
