Canalta Lodge

Our stay here was okay. I docked a star mainly because of the clogged sink and shower. The size of the room is pretty small too. For $700/night it’s not worth it in my opinion.

I liked that the parking is underground but it’s not exactly truck friendly. It was a tighter squeeze than normal underground parking lots.

We loved the Canalta Hotel. The young gentleman at the front desk was so friendly and helpful! The hotel decor was very cozy and the room was very excellent, spacious with an extremely comfortable bed. Loved the coffee in the room. The hotel offered smores in the evenings and had a great outside patio with hot and cold tub along with a fire pit. Breakfast was delicious, especially the pancakes! Easy walk to downtown. We would stay here again!

This place was pretty much perfect. It's far enough from town that you're not in the busy tourist mix but close enough you can walk into town center in 15 minutes. The breakfast had something (fresh!) for everyone - our daughter loved the make-your-own pancake machines. The backyard courtyard was the perfect location for chilling - from sitting around a fire to hanging in the hot tub or sauna to relaxing in a hanging chair. And our room was comfortable and perfectly appointed. Parking was $9 but street parking was free and directly in front of or behind the hotel, so that worked for us! We stayed in a room with a kitchen, which was a nice addition so we could make family meals and store ingredients for sandwiches we made for our hikes. Beds were comfortable, too. I guess my only complaint is that, in the 21st century, all TVs should be smart TVs so we can access our shows to relax in bed after a busy day of hiking and exploring the area.

Wonderful room, great service. Terrific breakfast. Love using real plates, cups and silverware. We were very comfortable and well taken care of. Loved the s'mores and the wonderful vibe !
We would recommend a few changes in the bathroom. The lighting was a bit dark. Also, the toilet seat lid did not open up the entire way, it hits against the shelf. The bathroom was also a little small and it took the hot water a while to deliver. But even so, we had a wonderful time staying there and will consider it again

We spent only one short night there, but we were very impressed with this hotel. From the time we were greeted at the front desk, until the time we checked out, the staff here were all, super friendly. The hotel breakfast was great and well-serviced. The courtyard hot tubs were clean and relaxing. The bar service was fantastic. Our room was really nice as well. If we had to complain....our bathroom was small. But the bathroom was well-appointed. We had a great stay here and would definitely stay here again.
