“Went here for my 60th birthday with family... and had a blast! The official campground attendant lady that rode around in her cart to collect fees and check up on everyone was awesome... always quick to smile, chat and send a friendly wave in our direction.”

“Great location for exploring the Port Renfrew area. Sites were nicely landscaped, a good size and very quiet while we were there. Short walk to the pier for sunsets! A table would have been nice but with Covid its understandable why it wasn't there. Would definitely come again.”

“This was our first camping experience in Victoria! Stunning place with China beach just 1.5km away. We took a nice and easy hike there with our parents as well as our children, the youngest who was just 2. The camp itself is very clean with cold water taps, and basic ‘gravity assisted’ toilet facilities. The camp manager Peter, was an absolute star! Very helpful when we needed some tools to fix some loose ends on our RV. Some of the sites are booked online but if you are dropping in cold, there are some ‘first come first serve’ sites available as well. Come in around 10:30am as that’s when people who are done with their camping start checking out. Lovely tall cedar trees, and reasonably quiet campers mostly.”

“We had the stay of a lifetime on this great little campsite. Absolutely overwhelming nature. Arbutus trees, bald eagles, sea otters, everything the west coast of Canada has to offer. Go there by kayak, bring your tent and just enjoy!!”

“This is a well maintained Provincial Park. Camp sites with tent platforms, tables on concrete pads and racoon boxes. Lively trails to hike and beaches to explore. There are many mooring buoys for the boaters as well.”

“My sister and I decided to camp for the night after exploring Salt Spring Island and we are so glad we ended up at Mowhinna Creek Campground. The new Managers are incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave us a nice little tour of the campground on their golf cart and quickly got us booked for the night. Fire wood is available for purchase and was delivered to our site. The bathrooms more than you could ever want in campground. The showers are also very clean. Would highly recommend this campground. Thank you Brad and Katie for the lovely stay!”

“This place as I understand is basically a campground for tent campers / RVs but in addition there are 3 cabins and I stayed in one of them on the last night of my 5 day Easter Mega Long Weekend Cycling Tour of Salt Spring & Vancouver Island, April 2019. Very solid facilities given just a rustic cabin. Been in other cabins before and prefer this much easily over others. Surprisingly clean interior with good facilities (window side radiators, movable oil heater, potable water from a tap right outside door, ample room inside, etc). Fully sheltered and maintained toilets not too far away including coin shower facilities. Firewood ready for purchase. All in all, makes for very easy family cabin camping. Only reason for 4/5 is lack of a microwave which could easily have been managed given there was so much room and an electric kettle & stove-top were already there.”

“Excellent off-season bike camping destination. There’s no potable water at the campground though, so make sure to bring all the water you need with you. There are only a handful of tent pads, too, so if you go during high season you’d be wise to arrive as early as you can. There is an outhouse on site. In my experience camping here it is a great place for spotting wildlife. There is a lake up the roads that’s worth having a stroll around, too.”

“We loved the campground. We slept great because people go to bed on time at the park. The gate is shut at 9 pm so visitors have to leave by then which also helps the noise. Great views right on the river.”

“Lovely small campsite on North Pender. Most sites have great privacy and are set back into the woods. Access to the Heart Trail right from the campsite which goes to the disc golf park. Very close to amenities and ferry terminal but you wouldn't know it from the campsite - very quiet and peaceful. I will likely go back”

“This place has THE CLEANEST washrooms I have ever seen, honestly it is even better than a a lot of hotels. They are clean daily and it’s really amazing how they keep up with it consistently. The staff are very friendly and approchable and they are always around fixing and cleaning so you see they care for the property and the business. I highly recommend this location and the prices are very good too compared to other park near by and near Victoria and it’s juts a 10 minute drive down the mountain to Langford.”
