“First time there and we’ll definitely be back. Can’t wait to try other menu items. We had the burrito bowls with chicken. Fresh, delicious, filling and fast. Lovely staff. Loved their hot sauces.”

“A wonderful surprise in the community of Cumberland, BC! The “Sipping Chocolate” beverage satisfied my palate and warmed up on this fall day. The Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie with coconut ice cream was rich and decadent! Thanks to the friendly and engaging chocolatier, our visit was pleasurable and informative. We shall return!”

“Small town feels with big town food.. I was surprised by some of the trendy items on the menu, I had the rare tuna and it was very good. Happen to be there for swing dancing night! So the entertainment was excellent:)”

“Truly unique gluten free crust made of potato and polenta base that gives a somewhat fry-like dense taste that stands out. This really tasted like eating pizza on a base of fries and it was delicious! I got the Pesto Pedaler which was a great combination of flavours that I have never seen put together before. I would highly recommend it on any crust. Unfortunately I was short on time so I ordered take out and as a result can’t comment too much on the atmosphere of the restaurant. However, I did walk in to pick up my pizza. It was a chill vibe with friendly staff and a smooth pick up experience. I’d definitely go back for a cool date or hang out with friends. Overall, a unique gluten free gem that’s worth making the trip to visit if you’re a celiac travelling in the vicinity.”

“I’ve been keen to try 4 Quarters for quite some time now and having just moved to Cumberland (from Courtenay) it was finally time. Everything was fantastic. The two servers working were very kind, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was nice - simple, very warm and cozy. The breakfast was fantastic. My wife and I wanted to start basic with our first visit and got the classic benny and vegetarian benny and neither of us were disappointed. Both were delicious and not too complicated, and the home fries were perfect. We were also happy to see a variety of vegetarian and vegan options. I’m sometimes a little bit hesitant going to a place that blends such varying cuisine but it was great and we can’t wait to come back again soon to try more!”

“We were so happy to see that they had a RV Sani dump station that is open 24 hours. And it was FREE. Thank you! Husky dump station in Courtenay is closed. Such a huge relief to find this service close to home.”

“A great find! Very good and smooth ice cream. I had a hard pack scoop topped with the soft serve in the great waffle cone. Some of the best flavored ice cream I’ve had. Highly recommend!!”

“I really love it here. Big city coffee in a tiny town. It would be fun if they had a second more exciting option for espresso but that is a huge ask.”

“Friendly staff and a nice independent boutique food market. It has fresh fruit and vegetables at reasonable prices. Staples dry and frozen goods to dairy offerings. Great place for the local villagers.”

“I consider myself a bit of a Village Donut myself, so I obviously fit right in here. Every time that I make sweet summer love to the wife, we finish our tradition with a nice creamy donut. They are a pallet cleanser and sensory divider. We slit the first donut in two and place one piece, usually the larger one, on top of the wife's head. We set the second piece on the nightstand that my grandma bought us, and then the fight is on. We wrestle, toss and turn, twist and shout, shake and jive, fighting each other tooth and nail for a lovely taste of that sweet treat. Once the first donut has been eaten and a winner is decided, the second donut is then distributed equally among all eight of our children. It is a tradition that will be passed on for generations. Thank you, Cumberland Village Bakery! We love you deeply.”

“I had great coffee here, the combat! It was espresso with macha, coconutoil and vanilla. Not so sweet just perfect. My wife had the smoothie criminal also very good. Cute little coffee smoothie bar. Not for always but once every now and then it’s perfect. Oh the most important part was they had toys so my little boy could play while I was sipping my coffee. A win for everyone 😁”

“This store has everything. I've never been there and not found what I needed. Prices are comparable to most convenience store. The lady who is always there is friendly and helpful.”
