“We ended up here two days in a row. One of our party has strict dietary requirements. The restaurants in town didn't really accommodate this or were very expensive. Save On Foods rescued us with excellent chicken pot pies and delicious Thai chicken soup on the first visit. The second visit was for a gourmet sandwich with chips and a drink deal and snacks. Interesting to us, as visitors to Canada, to see what brands and what groceries might differ, and found the rolling shopping basket interesting. Bought a "Proudly Canadian" reusable bag, instead of paying for plastic bags, which became one of our souvenirs. Thanks to the deli employees for their time and kindness (first trip) and to the lady employee walking by who helped us out and the lady at check out (second trip). You all made grocery shopping in Fernie one of our pleasant experiences.”

“Cool little place. Surprisingly great prices (considering the geographical location and smaller buying power of a small, locally owned business). I bought a notebook and nice pen for my step work, and both were great quality and reasonably priced. I went to Staples in Saskatoon a few days later just to compare, and the notebooks were about 4x the price and not any nicer. Highly recommend, and I'll surely be back next time I'm in town!”

Erin immediately responded, helped set the design up and promised they would be ready by my deadline if I paid. That afternoon they were ordered, and 4 business days later they were done, 60 custom shirts at a great price. This is not their normal turnaround, but it is always worth an ask, and it shows their level of customer service. For a place 4 doors from home, I could not ask for better, and will be back again. “When everything was closed and we thought our dinner options were limited to the stale ramen in the cupboard, we were elated to see the Dairy Queen open sign flashing in the distance. To our delight, there were 8 minutes left before their closing time of 11:00 pm. The staff were friendly and chipper, despite our last minute arrival. Not only that, but biting into the double cheese burger was surprisingly so good we decided to leave a review. Somehow this Dairy Queen’s burger tasted particularly good. Highly recommend.”
