“Was really in a pickle and needed a last minute ride to Calgary from Fernie. Jerry, the owner of the Taxi service, was kind enough to help us out. He drove us around 3 hours to Calgary with a cheerful disposition and pleasant conversation. This was a direct reflection of the kind soul behind this business. He spoke about not having enough workers and struggling to manage his time, being the only cab in the area. This is reflected in the other reviews and yes, the cars are not new and shiny. With this being said, I have nothing but high regard for this business, the owner and the service we received. We wish you the best of luck on your journey with Jerry. “Solid gym with a great balance for strength, bodybuilding, and conditioning training. Visited from the States and was in the area for a gym where I can do some barbell work and this gym has it all. There are two barbell types, though not specialized, are still a good fit for squat, bench, and deadlift. One bar has no knurling in the center (good for deadlifts), while the other one does (good for squats and bench). There are 4 of 2-post racks and a 4-post rack, multiple flat benches that can be moved in and out of the racked areas (where benching is done). The owner made the excellent decision to house each rack with a bucket of chalk! I'm impressed and plesently surprised. Extras: Dumbells go up to 120lbs (thick ergonomic handles, weights incased in polymer for easy managment). Adequate machinery for all your bodybuilding isolation needs, and there is an open floor area for conditioning/stretching/yoga. Showers and changing rooms, supplement store available, and protein/amino drinks in store fridge. The gym is a warehouse, and it is dressed very nicely, smell good, and with the large roll-up doors open, it breathes in cool mountain air and views. I definitely recommend this gym to anyone in a 1hr radius, and if you are traveling in the area and need a decent gym, make Fernie a stop on your list to keep your body sharp while on holiday.”

“Cool little place. Surprisingly great prices (considering the geographical location and smaller buying power of a small, locally owned business). I bought a notebook and nice pen for my step work, and both were great quality and reasonably priced. I went to Staples in Saskatoon a few days later just to compare, and the notebooks were about 4x the price and not any nicer. Highly recommend, and I'll surely be back next time I'm in town!”

“This is the perfect place to book for a large group ski trip, tons of space with a giant mud room to store boots and skis. The rooms were large and the beds we're super comfortable I would definitely book here again! The only thing missing is a hot tub. But the community leisure center is near by with a massive pool and hot tub.”

“This is our 2nd time visiting Fernie Cattle Company and it definitely will not be our last. The steaks are cooked to absolute perfection. They leave your mouth watering for more once your finished! I had the ribs as well this time and that homemade blueberry bbq sauce is divine. Like next level sauce. Each dish is served separately on top of the steak or meat of choosing. We got the brie, crab mushrooms, Brussel sprouts and baked potato. ALL of them were delicious. To us, this is the only steakhouse we will ever go to when visiting this area and we will continue to recommend it to everyone. The owners and the staff are accommodating and professional. Ignore the 1 star ratings from the obviously entitled on here. This place is a gem!”

“Stacy is literally a god send. She took me into her salon with open arms when another hair stylist honestly did me pretty dirty on the hair front. I’m not her client, I literally walked into her salon and she graciously did what she could to fix my hair (I drove three hours for a different stylist at a different salon) she was so kind, wouldn’t accept my money and wouldn’t let me tip. I did however get to leave some money for a local charity instead. This salon Ans their staff are absolutely amazing people and I would 100% drive three hours to see her. Thank you Stacy”
