“Last week I had to make the hardest decision, to allow my sweet senior pitbull cross over the rainbow Bridge due to old age and more importantly failing health. The staff at Stave Lake Vet were incredibly supportive and understanding. They took ink prints of Lucy's nose and Paws for me and gave me a beautiful card that the whole staff signed and wrote words of kindness and support. I want to especially say thank you to Dr. Christine Smetschka. She was incredibly helpful, and informative, she provided me with options and always wanted what was the best outcome for both Lucy and myself. Whenever I had questions she did her best to answer them and if she didn't have the answer she found resources that would guide me in my research. She understood how hard this end of life journey was and was always supportive, kind, patient, and non-judgmental. I will take my time to grieve and most likely won't get another dog/pet for a few years, but once I adopt a pet into my home again, I will definitely be returning to Stave Lake Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Christine Smetschka.”

“Dr. Mann is honestly one of the best vets we have come across after having moved several times. When we first went to Menzies, it was for a second opinion. We had taken our dog to another vet across town and he said our best option is to put him down or go to a specialist. And when we spoke to Dr. Mann, he said our dog requires a simple surgery he has performed many times and what do ya know our little trooper is fit and healthy as ever. I’ve heard he is one of the best surgeons in town. I am just thankful we have a vet we can trust at Menzies. The front staff is also compassionate and quick.”
