Guu with Garlic

My favourite Japanese place downtown! There's nothing on the menu that isn't great. Definitely order the grilled saba!

Guy with Garlic was the most authentic Japanese restaurants I’ve been to in Vancouver till this point. Loud greetings when you enter/leave with seating and atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in a bar in the streets of Tokyo! Service was absolutely amazing and the food... the most incredible experience ever! Wide variety of dishes that I have never tried before with also some original Japanese dishes that are 10 times better than what you’d find at a street market! Highly recommend and I will definitely bring my friends here when I’m in town!

Guu with Garlic is a fantastic restaurant. The food is fresh, masterfully made, and delicious; the atmosphere is lovely; and the drinks are excellent. The staff are also very charming. If you are even remotely fond of Japanese food, you owe it to yourself to come here!
