Strolling through Strathcona Linear Park is like stumbling upon a euphoriac oasis on a journey through the hell which is my life. I don't want to over sell it but there is simply not a better park in the entirety of Canada to visit. Unlike OTHER parks, Linear Park is a mystical place where dreams happen. You are free to be whoever you want to be. Age, gender, orientation, health, politics - The Linear park will NEVER judge you. You are always welcome and Linear Park will listen. It's the friend you never knew you had but always hoped existed.
Is it possible for a park to be your soul mate? I don't want to dwell on that. Though I would be lying if I didn't admit my love for the park is putting pressure on my marriage. I have room in my heart for BOTH the Linear park and my partner. She feels I pay Linear park more attention than I do her. I love them both, differently. Cant she see that?
Linear Park never judges me, only listens. Maybe one day the world will recognize our love but until then I'll proudly declare it against all doubters and naysayers.
Strathcona Linear Park completes me. 5 stars.
Great little park to throw around the ball with my 🐕 👍
Nice park b4 the 'encampment'
Dirty now
Dont bring kids here
Too dangerous
this is a great park to sit and have a coffee, union market is down the street and has great local food and drinks.
Cute little postage stamp of a 'park' there's a bench or two, a few trees for shade, and a little scrap of green grass.
The neighbourhood (Strathcona) has been 'gentrified' considerably over the past decade, and now houses very financially comfy (well...they must be to own a home in Van..)young families.
Rows n rows of those little 'Vancouver special' (wooden A frame, 2 story, 2 bed, 1 bath and generally about 2' from the next house) likely going for at least $1.25m a piece.
Anyway.
Pretty little houses to ponder while you sit on one of the benches and eat your lunch.
