“Very rustic and original. Not at all what I expected from a farm themed campground but the spectacular staff and private setting make up for the lack of amenities 10/10 would go again!”

“Very few properties come up for sale here, but if they do, you should take a look. Best decision my family ever made. We're going to enjoy this spot for the next 20 years. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Great people, great community. A+”

“Had a wonderful first experience at this campground. Beautiful beach and views of the ocean. There is always a breeze!Definitely not a provincial site. It is mostly set up for and visited by large RVs even where there isn't hook-ups. There are nice tenting spots but they are not very level and are close to the highway.”

“Really good place for camping. Hospitable and welcoming hostess. Special thanks for the very clean and cozy washroom area. 🙏🏼 If you coming with children there a lot table-games. Also you can find some books to read if in some case become boring and need some relaxation. Campground provide electricity, water, wi-fi and dump drain.”

“The pool was so much fun I just kept going on the water slide over and over again! The pool is also heated which is nice later in the evening. Having a playground, a pool and a convenience store with ice cream and kid snacks is great for a family with younger kids. And an outdoor public barbecue! Great customer service and a babysitter”

“I love this place, I’ve been coming here for years. They update the playground equipment each time. It’s a quiet campground. It’s a really fun place to swim for the kids too. The staff are wonderful, one year the kids got tractor rides and the owner came to our campsite and played guitar and sang an original children’s song for us. One year I lost a diamond earring on the playground and they found it and kept it safe at the office for me. I also like that it’s close to lots of other great places for day trips and many restaurants and coffee shops.”

“This place is great for a stranded snowbird! Second season missing the desert but this place compensates. All amenities you'll need. Close to grocery and goats in town. Very clean and nicely wooded compared to to similar campgrounds. Recommended! :)”

“I’m 25 now and I’ve been coming here since I was 6, with my dad. I do miss the old owners , however the people that bought this business have done such an amazing job at revamping the campground. It’s more lush and they really put some care into the place. I do miss the shed by the beach where you used to be able to play darts, as well as the arcade room but I probably wouldn’t go into either nowadays anyways. Last year for the first time I did notice 2 people living on the grassy fields, one in an old RV and the other under a tarp that clearly looked homeless. That’s a little worrying. But I’ll be back again this year once it opens up and hopefully their not there. I think the owners let them stay for the summer which is unlike them but it seemed to be Covid related. Many more good times to come at this park. I would recommend anyone to bring your family here! Stay safe an keep on keepin on!”

“Was a nice experience to meet the brand new owners of this well-located facility. They show rare friendliness and enthusiasm and are already taking on ambitious projects to re-furbish the long-established business.”

“The best facility for families that i have seen in a long time. The round about set up is awesome, the paved roads for the kids to ride bikes was a huge hit. Our family loved that there was something for each of us, from tenting to cabins we had so much choice. The river beach area is phenomenal, love that it is private to the resort. I found the staff to be so friendly, housekeepers to the front office everyone was very nice and accommodating. I think this place should have more than 2 stars as its the perfect beach and river venue around”

“Wow! Great location and well deserved reviews. The tidal beaches are amazing and fun for the whole family. The restrooms are as clean as you get for outhouses, and a 5 minute walk to flush toilets and shower house. Easy check-in, checkout process for camping. Lots of neat little trails to explore and go for a hike. Easy to recommend.”

“A great quiet campground with friendly people! Each spot has grass, great for tenting, and cedar bushes around it for privacy. There’s drinkable water, flush bathrooms and hot showers. Plus the beach is only a 5 minute drive away. I highly recommend staying here.”

“Fantastic place to camp for us and our two children last week. Sublimely quiet in the evenings. We tented and the spot was huge even with a van and our large tent. The tree cover is amazing and gives lots of shade when the afternoons get hot. Washrooms are clean and stocked, staff is amazing and the private beach on the lake was well loved by our two boys as was the playground. Location and price were great. We will definitely be back!”

“My husband and I recently spent 4 nights tenting at Old Mill Campground. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the setting is with a small lake surrounded by sizable treed hills. The campsite is great for families and the host, Kelly, runs a tight ship to ensure your experience is a good one. Unfortunately, we were camping in a site above one of the large campsites hosting a large group of people. As the drinking progressed the noise increased. Kelly did not hesitate to address the group and shut the party down at curfew so other campers could sleep. Kelly also helped move us and another family of campers a couple of days later, to a quieter campsite further away from the party group. Some sites are more private than others and they all vary in size. Many folks have a trailer or RV. The outhouses are kept clean and stocked. The main small beach has 2 picnic tables and is shared with the parking lot. A few of the sites have access to their own beach but are close to the road. As the campsite belongs to a forest company with gravel roads that accommodate logging trucks (although we didn’t see any), we found the area to be quite dusty. I would highly recommend this place to camp as it is well managed and beautiful.”

“We had a wonderful family Thanksgiving weekend here! Staff we're extremely friendly. There was an issue with a couple of rowdy parties, and they were delt with swiftly. The staff do not put up with unruly behaviour here, and so it is a nice experience for all!?”

“My Favorite spot, the family that owns it are always working, cleaning and maintaining the park and always make time for chit chat. Very safe and quiet great community. Sites are large and clean. No issues with water, power sewer. Literally steps away from the lake. Very reasonable rates ? laundry room and washrooms on site. Office sells a variety of things if you need something in a pinch. This is our third year staying here.”

“On a road trip across Western Canada ??, called to book a site. The woman on the phone was amazing. We were arriving after the office closed and just as promised, everything we needed was waiting for us when we got there. It was such an awesome campground that we decided to stay a second night. The young woman at the office was quick to look up availability and lucky for us our site was open and we stayed an extra day. And they deliver your wood right to your site! Top notch customer service. Clean facilities. Beautiful surroundings!!!”
