“I cycled from Vancouver to Cortes Island and back, and I camped at Deep Bay RV park in both directions. This RV park is bike-packer friendly. The owners were welcoming and the views of the ocean are stunning. The hot showers and community kitchen were also a welcomed surprise. I slept peacefully both nights, which is key when bike packing. Some reviews here complain about a lack of privacy, but I found the long-term members friendly, welcoming, and respectful of privacy. I would choose a place like Deep Bay RV over any provincial campground.”

“We don't usually stay in RV places but we had some friends in the area and it looked nice so we decided to check it out. It was fantastic! Everything is brand new. Bathrooms and showers are super nice. Spot was safe and quiet with a great view of the lily pond. Owners are very nice and friendly too. I don't usually leave reviews but this place is great and I would highly recommend it!”

“We spent from October 28, 2022 to March 10, 2023 at the Paradise Mini Golf and Fun Park. We found the management very helpful and kind. The girl in the office was exceptionally helpful. She helped me with a problem I was having scanning some documents on my cell phone, and one time when we were away shopping in Nanaimo we had a problem with water running from under our trailer, she called right away to tell us about the problem and she shut the water off at the main water source until we were able to get back to the trailer. The day after we left we received a call from one of the new owners asking if there was any suggestions we had to improve their services. If we are lucky enough to return from NS next winter we would not hesitate to stay at the park again.”

“I’m 25 now and I’ve been coming here since I was 6, with my dad. I do miss the old owners , however the people that bought this business have done such an amazing job at revamping the campground. It’s more lush and they really put some care into the place. I do miss the shed by the beach where you used to be able to play darts, as well as the arcade room but I probably wouldn’t go into either nowadays anyways. Last year for the first time I did notice 2 people living on the grassy fields, one in an old RV and the other under a tarp that clearly looked homeless. That’s a little worrying. But I’ll be back again this year once it opens up and hopefully their not there. I think the owners let them stay for the summer which is unlike them but it seemed to be Covid related. Many more good times to come at this park. I would recommend anyone to bring your family here! Stay safe an keep on keepin on!”

“The best facility for families that i have seen in a long time. The round about set up is awesome, the paved roads for the kids to ride bikes was a huge hit. Our family loved that there was something for each of us, from tenting to cabins we had so much choice. The river beach area is phenomenal, love that it is private to the resort. I found the staff to be so friendly, housekeepers to the front office everyone was very nice and accommodating. I think this place should have more than 2 stars as its the perfect beach and river venue around”

“Well maintained RV Park & Campground, with beautiful gardens. John, the owner, is very friendly, kind and accommodating. Spectacular views of Mt. Benson. Direct access to the Parkway Trail, close to shopping, dining and all other amenities. John is very helpful with tourist attractions, places to visit and directions. Common area facilities are clean, safe and well-maintained.”

“My Favorite spot, the family that owns it are always working,cleaning and maintaining the park and always make time for chit chat. Very safe and quiet great community. Sites are large and clean. No issues with water,power sewer. Literally steps away from the lake. Very reasonable rates ? laundry room and washrooms on site. Office sells a variety of things if you need something in a pinch. This is our third year staying here.”

“It is a great local campsite, that is super clean and well kept. We've been there twice and enjoyed both our stays. The sites are spacious for RVs and lots have great views. The showers and washrooms are super clean as well. The cafe is reasonably priced and their profits go to charities which is cool. The beach is not the greatest, but the water is perfect for kayaks or canoes. If you have kids I would recommend taking them to Transfer Beach in Ladysmith from Living Forest for a daytrip. It has a great beach, a huge playground and a fun water park. We'll be back to Living Forest next year!”
