“We hiked the trails but didn't do the guided tours. The switchbacks help, and the trails are well maintained, but you definitely need stamina and 'climbing legs'. There are nice educational signs along the way that you can use to rest without looking lazy or out of shape ("Hey kids, let's read these signs and learn about caves!"). The road is gravel and full of potholes, so it's an adventure to get here, but the remoteness has probably helped keep things less damaged from the worst tourists...”

“Excellent store with tons of beautiful artwork from local artists. We bought a watercolour from an artist from Bowser (see picture). There is so many unique pieces, we visited 2 days in a row and still saw stuff we didn’t see the first time. A must stop if driving anywhere in the area. Stop at the Footless Rooster Coffee shop next door while you are there for some delicious food and beverages.”

“Plan to visit this museum when in Qualicum Beach! While small, it has a diverse range of very exciting history on display. From paleontology and fossils, to social history and culture ... step back in time. If you enjoy Royal memorabilia, you will find a nice collection to browse. Admission by donation - $5 a person is average. Please support the local artists in the gift shop - artists and museum need our support!”

“What a fantastic experience and a great price for all you get. Tania is Professional - Well Versed - Accommodating - Personable. They picked us up in a quality well equipped SUV at our hotel and gave us an entertaining, informational and fun tour. All I can say is wow, a must see / do exploring experience if you’re on Vancouver island. Tania was great with answering questions, highlighting so many interesting things, and very helpful with those who needed assistance. I highly recommend Scenery tours for your next tour - it enhanced our visit to Vancouver island, and we are extremely pleased!”

“This little place is super cool and very cute. The dinosaurs are amazing! They also have a bounce house, a beautiful little train and a tractor set up for hayrides. The owner, staff were accommodating and friendly and were so good to the kids. Stan was fun and awesome taking the kids on train rides and hay rides and giving out free freezys. We took 12 children and stayed for about an hour but could have stayed longer they all had a lot of fun. I will definitely go back! They have picnic tables so you could bring snacks or lunch. Adults are $10 and children are free. Unfortunately they don’t have a website and some info is out of date. The phone numbers are not their correct numbers so don’t expect a phone call back and they open at 11am not 10am. But the address is correct so do go!!”

“I really enjoy Spider lake my adult kids drive over an hour to this one where we all meet. The water has cold currents but overall temperature is great. No motors are allowed great for swimming and paddle boards and kayaks etc. It has a boat ramp for ease of entering. It is fairly big with several small islands to swim to. It can get busy but who needs a huge Beach area if you are in the water. There are picnic tables and washrooms.”

“Liked the people. Very warm and helpful. It's right at the entrance to the Qualicum Bay Resort Trailer Park. The beach in front is Rocky. The best idea is to put the paddle boards in or on your vehicle and take them quarter mile North do a little road Sunny Beach Road access to the a sandy beach. The price was reasonable and reduction for extra hours. They give you a half hour free to get paddle board in and out of the water. Excellent local food helps round out a nice holiday.”

“Don't show up before 10! Most things were closed. Good place to stop to pick up snacks from the healthy grocery store or the produce store. Looked like a good donut shop with an interesting variety but we were there too early and had to leave before it opened. Very cute place to walk around with kids. Village feel to it. I will definitely stop by again. With and without kids.”

During covid, there is still a wonderful selection of items from the tea House available for takeout. The gift shop is open where you can purchase unique and thoughtful items. I cannot say enough about Milner Gardens and Woodlands.”

Best Grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had, and the cheesecake and Pork Schnitzel sandwich were very good too! Very friendly staff and very reasonable prices! Hard to go wrong stopping in for lunch here!”

“What a beautiful little spot brimming with local goodness. We went on a whim after hearing great things about their "Free Range Box." This needs to be ordered a day ahead of time; however, the very helpful and friendly lady working at the store helped us select a variety of delicious choices to custom make our own. As a result, we had the most awesome combination of cheese, crackers, and jelly spreads to make any picnic a stellar event. Also, when you go, take time to walk around the beautiful farm and displays. This place is a local treasure. 5 stars.”

“Very well run. Staff are very welcoming. The young guys working in the pits were friendly and helpful. Works in heats so groups don't have to wait too long until they race. The karts are quick. Each heat you get a different kart which is a great way to make it fair. Best track I've found in BC so far. Book ahead. Well done guys.”

“Walking around this place kept me in "Awe" the whole way through. The different wild birds and animals were wonderful to see and even talk to them. They all have names and information at their station for a person to read about why that bird/animal got to the recovery centre. There are so many plants and venues to go through as well. I totally loved seeing the big turtles at the pond which was so well situated. Lots of Eagles, Ravens, Doves, Turkeys, Silky Chickens, a Bear was there... it was so cute to watch. The Centre has a store when you first arrive and there are many interesting items there as well. You can stay for hours. Well the four of us that went there took two and a half hours about to go through the Centre...”

“This course was a lot of fun and really enjoyed it. Sadly from when I went I was unable to explore the pirate mini golf section and the arcade as it was closed off for a tv show filming. The bumper boats is a unique and a lot of fun to drive around in! However, to me, this park seemed a little too busy and sunny for when I went. I really want to go again sometimes and do the surf 'n' turf course!”
