“My fiancé and I stayed at Tyax with several friends during our engagement weekend over the Canada Day long weekend. Staff (especially Bayley) were wonderful and took great care of us. Our group had a beautiful dinner all together which went smoothly and tasted great! (Though we would love to see the famous crispy chicken sandwich back on the menu). The property is stunning and they offer free kayak, canoe and paddle board rentals to see the lake and there are lots of trails nearby to explore. We are looking forward to future trips here and are excited to look into having our wedding at Tyax.”

Stunning views, awesome fishing, and owner is a very hospitable person. Helped up back out trailer in when we asked. Reasonably priced, clean facilities. We are happy campers here.”

“Clean washrooms, the full service sites might not fit a 30' or longer. Our trailer 19.5' and we parked across the road. The full service sites are small but $25 per night so a good deal. Cash only at the moment, dogs are allowed. Be prepared to pick up old dog poop out of your campsite before you start using it. The dry sites were larger and had beautiful views of the Fraser River.”

“Great campsite. Wish we could have taken a site in the back area as the view is amazing but the rest of our family were tenting and we wanted to be closer to them. Sites were all good size. We took a walk in the area and was really happy to see the place looking well maintained and clean. We didn't use the washrooms till our last day when we were about to leave and didn't want to use our RV washroom anymore and was so surprised on how clean and big the washrooms are. Would definitely come back and highly recommend this place. Very close to lots of nice hiking place and beautiful water falls”

Russet Lake

Address: Squamish-Lillooet C, BC V0N 0A0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“Completely isolated - be prepared to carry in and out all your own things ie your own tent / sleeping stuff and rubbish. I was told there are of course wild bears in the area so be ‘bear aware’. I trekked there on 9th July 2019 and there was some snow on the trail. There is a shack there which can house 7 people. Remember you need to pay BC parks for this and if you are caught without paying I think the charge is >$100”

Eagle River Métis Fishing Lodge & RV Park

Address: 1050 Depot Rd, Squamish, BC V0N 1H0, Canada

“A good place to go, almost bush camping, they have a garbage bin, a portapodie. Many lots, the lots on the main entrance are sand and is Super soft to sleep on (using sleeping bags) we fit 12 person tent in the lot, had room for the rest of the stuff in the image. The owner was super nice ? we called basically last minute and they were happy to help us out. I recommend this place to anyone with a trailer or anyone who wants to camp :D”

Garibaldi Lake Campground

Address: Unnamed Road, Whistler, BC V0N 0A0, Canada

“It was a beautiful hike from the parking.. the hike is simple with few steeps along the way.. Once you get to the view point.. it’s all down hill, with smaller lakes on the sides.. Garibaldi lake is worth it.. it’s first come first serve, better campground for earlier birds.. To visit panorama, you might need and extra day..”

“Very nice place with only 40 min drive from North Vancouver. The staff are great and very nice. We got there early and they prepared the site for us before the check in time. They offer many things you may need (or may forget to bring) in their office to buy including ice cream and coffee. There's couple of great trails around as well as a hatchery. Please note they do not allow any kind of amplified music so don't go there if you wanna party however they allow playing guitar till 10 pm.”

Cat Lake Recreation Site

“Took a mountain bike rip around Cat Lake! Cheshire Cat was the trail we started on and it was fast fun and technical. Be prepared though toneide through camp sites! After we ended at the lake and took in some beautiful sites. Lots of people having a wonderful time - note only a few beach access points and a few small peers. A great day none the less!!”

MTN Fun Basecamp

Address: 1796 Depot Rd, Squamish, BC V8B 0P6, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“My wife and I stayed here with our two kids ages 10 and 12. A perfect spot for a family outing. Great little mountain bike track right at the campground and amazing trails close by. Staff are friendly and sites are big and private enough to feel a like a provincial campground. Amenities are great. If ever back in the area, will stay here again for sure!”

Rampart Ponds Campground

Address: Elfin Lakes Trail, Whistler, BC V0N 0A0, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“Stayed here July 20 when Elfin Lakes was fully booked. Basic camping area with about 15 elevated gravel tent pads, a bear box for food, and an outhouse. It's on a north-facing slope so even in late July half the sites were snow-covered, and the ponds themselves were frozen. Still acceptable for a night's sleep, especially if you want to get away from the crowds. Tons of mosquitos and blackflies, bring your bug spray! Good views of the Opal Cone and Garibaldi, and just a short hike down the hill is seldom-visited Mamquam Lake.”
