It was an amazing hike. We only did around 20 minutes of it but it's around 5 hours long. We are planning on going back next year for the full trail. There's a tiny bit of water access, too. There is also a cave. It's pretty cool but a little bit smaller than I was expecting. Great hike.
Beautiful place to visit in summer, but if you're looking to see it in a full beaty, come in fall. So many colors! So vibrant!
The sign says this is Manitoba's hardest trail and to give yourself all day but I did it in 4 hours. The terrain is rough, but overall a very enjoyable hike and I'm not sure I would classify it as the hardest. You are close to the lake the whole way.
Wow this trail was tough! I would consider myself a beginner/intermediate hiker, and would give this trail a 4/5 difficulty for its terrain. It’s very rocky, there are lot of trees roots, and there are a lot of steep inclines and declines. The signage on the way out is fine but is very confusing on the way back. I recommend going on a cool day with plenty of water and snacks. I definitely don’t recommend this hike for beginners. Overall this trail is incredibly beautiful and the challenge was worth it
This hike is very challenging, not for beginners or groups with small children. Some of the climbs are very steep and can get tricky. However, the views and scenery are amazing.
It took our group (mostly casual hikers) 6 hours to complete the hike, and I was cramping towards the end. Bring lots of water and food. You can also bring some bathing suits for swimming.
