“Parking is a complete mess. The grass is always too long for a soccer field not to mention all of the goose droppings whatever.”

“Also known as 40th street pond. There is a trail around most of the pond, bugs can be bad so be prepared. They have a few docks that are good for fishing off. There is a ADA kayak rack to the left, be warned that it can be very shallow at the launch and the dock area is very small. I have a lot of trouble getting a 13' kayak down there by myself. There is a old boat launch that's Cement to the right of the parking lot, easier to get bigger kayaks or canoes in the water. Fishing is good, lots of pan fish. Some good size pikes and bass too. Also watch the swan, it can be a bit aggressive.”

“Great personnel and great service. I was NEVER treated so well in my entire life as I was in the Social Security Department. They were so nice, and, i wish everyone could be that way. They were extremely courteous, understanding, and just plain wonderful to me. There was no laughing at the way I spoke, no making fun of me, and no snide remarks. The people in the office as well as the people at the restaurant we stopped at on the way home were extremely nice to us. Great people!!!! Great service!!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!! You are great people and you are excellant at what you do. Keep this up!!!!!”

“This was really a great park. They do charge if you are not a resident of the immediate area which is supposed to be good at keeping the beach and park areas clean and prevent crowding. Well it's somewhat clean but it certainly doesn't prevent the crowding. People come from all over and crowd the heck out of this park. I don't even go there on the weekends now because of how crowded it is. Even weekdays can be crowded. It's a shame, not too long ago it was a hidden gem. Now people crowd this place. Yeah, no idea why. As far as the parks concerned, there's a water pad and jungle gym for the kids, grills and picnic tables as well as a large beach area access. The reviewer complaining about the rocks clearly doesn't get out much. All beaches on the east side of the state are more rocky than sandy unless someone paid to have sand brought in.”

“Looks like this would be a great place to come enjoy the nice weather. But as you can see nice weather was not the case for this particular trip. The view regardless of weather is spectacular to say the least. Unfortunately our sightseeing was slightly inhibited by one then two border patrol police keeping a watchful eye on us. What did they think, we we're going to run across the ice to escape? Or maybe catch a cpl escaping sliders from across the pond? I know, they were just doing their jobs. Upon leaving we drove out of the way to drive past them vigorously waving and smiling like a cpl idiots. Was a bit disappointed when they didn't wave back. But dont worry NC i had a Georgia tag. Will return in the summer to see the beauty of Lake Huron.”

“I can in February of this year and it was about 20°F out. With the wind chill from the ice and water it felt bitter but the amazing view made it work it. I plan on coming back over the summer to get some pictures of the water. The view from the blue water bridge during the summer is also spectacular!”
