This National Wildlife area is so beautiful.. Rolling fields, Marshlands, hiking trails, scenic Beach.. view of Grindstone Island & Lighthouse. I love the scenic and coastal views this Park has to offer. Breathtaking !!!!
We happened to find this place due to geocaching and what a beautiful place it was. We were able to learn so much about the area.
Wildlife area along the coast near Cape Enrage where migratory birds nest and feed. Two paths behind the information center: to the right, 5 minutes walk to beach where there are signs to not walk on the beach so as not to disturb birds; however, ignorant folks were disregarding the signs when we were there. Beautiful, photogenic area. The path circles around to the parking area through the neighboring forest. It's a short, 15 minute walk.
Overall, not a lot to see unless you're into bird watching.
New interpretation center and the new path to the beach are very nice. We were able to get to the viewing platform using a Walker. Even though we were there 2 hrs before high tide there weren't many birds. We were told that the peak time for birds this year will be around Aug 15.
A naturalists paradise with wide open views, ocean surf, and a an abundance of wetland.
