“This is the best A&W location in the HRM, hands down. I go here for lunch or coffee more than I'd care to admit and I have never, once, had a single issue with an order or staff in a year of frequenting this location. Food is always fresh, well prepared, and delicious. The staff all genuinely seem to enjoy working here too. One time I left my phone on the table and a woman at the counter held onto it for me until I drove back to get it. Managerial staff, if you're reading these reviews I hope you realize how fortunate you are with your staff. Whatever you're doing, keep it up; a team like yours just doesn't happen often in a fast food environment!”

“We actually ate at cheese curds in this place. We were very disappointed and we did let them know. We had burgers and poutine. Everything was so salty it was actually hard to eat. The prices are ridiculous as well. $37.00 for lunch, for two people? And that's without a tip. And those were combos. No thanks... Will not frequent this place, sorry.”

“3rd time for us. We never made it before when it was more of the trucks, so I don't know what I'm missing. I will say the staff are friendly and prompt. We've ordered the chicken platter all 3 times and it's plenty between my son and I. Even though it's still deep-fried, you know it's homemade vs something they ordered in frozen. 2 battered wings, 2 without. Sauce on the side. 4 Thai bites. Big helping of home cut fries. 2 chicken tenders and a side of coleslaw. This time I also tried the taco, which was unreal! The combo of fresh cilantro, fresh salsa and Thai chicken was wicked. We love it there, and will go back on a regular basis.”

“We've visited a few times now and can't say that we are overly impressed. The venue is great, with a bustling atmosphere. The beer and sodas - top notch. The BBQ however, seems to need a bit of work. Overall, the BBQ is OK, but is lacking that smoke flavour that they boast about. The food feels commercialized. Our last visit was for both burger week and brunch. The burger was good, although the smoked brisket needed more smoke. However, the fries were frozen. This has changed from the fresh cut fries we had when the place first opened. Brunch was disappointing. The "pulled pork hash" was nothing more than frozen potato cubes, deep fried and covered with some pulled pork. Eggs were good, correctly cooked in both soft poached and over easy form, something that a lot of places don't always do right. The meals however, were pricey. We probably won't be back for brunch based on the frozen products and higher price. Overall, the place is OK, but we were looking for more. Good luck to them.”

“Went for burger week because the burger sounded interesting. Pleasantly surprised to find that there was a choice of 4 special burgers including a veg option. We tried 2 different burgers that were both excellent!. Our server Kelly was not just good at her job, but fun and intuitive, a real professional. Unfortunate for the weird hollow sound in the restaurant.”

“I've always enjoyed Thai Express at either MMM or HSC. I found the DC location by accident while stopping over at Costco yesterday. I could not not believe my eyes when I walked in. It is absolutely gorgeous inside; its hard to wrap my head around that it is a fast food establishment. The decor is modern and light, the food is still delicious as ever. My advice would be to skip the crowded mall food courts and head down here - so so good on so many levels. They have real bowls, plates, and cutlery here, and dimmed lighting with soft music.”

“My 12 year old son and I walked in and there was a very pleasant young man changing out the garbages. It was almost closing time and I asked if a certain store near by was open, "Riley" said he wasn't sure but he'd go check on it for us. We were both very impressed with his reply because he didn't just say he didn't know. Thank you Riley! When a 12 year old boy, after playing a AAA hockey game takes notice of your friendliness and courteousness and tells his mother ( me) what a ' nice' guy you were, I think you should be recognized for that!! Thank you for showing my son how customer service works both ways!!”

“I went to Swiss Chalet with a large group (11 of us). Seating took awhile which is to be expected, but we were not treated poorly at all and were served excellently. In particular, our waitress was charming and friendly and helped to make the entire meal a great experience. The food was also very delicious. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“One of my kids favorite stores. Decent furniture for a reasonable price. Products are well thought out and designed. Responsible use of packaging as well. No quibble return policy, and you can find some real bargains in the returned section. Their cafeteria is reasonably priced as well.”
