“The best way to go back n forth to Manitoulin Islands from mainland Ontario. Magnificent sights through out the route and a very cool ferry with a huge parking lot for around 150 cars. There is a nice floating restaurant on the cruise and some really good seating spots on the rear side of the boat. The reservations are almost a must as if gets totally full on almost all weekends. Total of 3 trips per day from both sides are planned well to cater to all your plans and definitely worth the experience. Definitely recommend this route instead of going all the way up North through the road bridge in Little Currents. Not too much of time difference but a lot more convenient and relaxing journey worth every penny.”

“My husband and I just left Coconut Joes and it was the kind of meal, where you want to hug the chef after! The meal was so delicious, we didn’t want it to end! We had the coconut shrimp, mussels and all three tacos and we had all positive things to say about them! The drinks were so yummy and the details the bartender put on them were so cute and made the experience that much better! Our server Lex was wonderful! She was very informative and did such a wonderful job making our experience so great! Michael the owner was there while we were enjoying our meal and it was so nice to see him interacting with costumers and you could see his passion towards his restaurant! Thank you for the best experience, we can’t wait to return!! Plus it was our honeymoon so it made it so much better!!!”

“During our recent trip to Tobermory, we stumbled upon this delightful bakery and café. The coffee was a perfect pick-me-up, and the cakes and cookies were absolutely fresh and delicious. It was a sweet surprise in this charming small town. If you're in Tobermory and in need of a coffee and dessert fix, make sure not to miss this gem! A perfect discovery during our trip! Happy travellers 🥰”

“I write this review with mixed feelings. There was only one person to run everything, he was very welcoming and accommodating. There was no hot water or electricity, I'm a low maintenance person, so overall I enjoyed my stay. Beautiful property, needs better maintenance. Seems like the new owners bought it with no real understanding of the wilderness.”

“Wow! I was completely blown away by the beautiful in-house scratch food with elegant tastes and delicate plating. I can honestly say that I have dined all over Ontario and this is really close to the best hidden gem in Ontario. The Berkshire offers a comfortable ambiance with food that absolutely knocked my socks off. The braised pork shoulder with a delicate apple cabbage slaw, and spetzle on the side was soooo yummy. The pork shoulder was melt in your mouth, and I couldn't get enough ... until ... I heard that homemade sticky toffee pudding with home churned vanilla ice cream, were on the menu. So yes, I indulged! And, it was gorgeous caramel delish! Oh wait, let me not forget about the Caesar Salad, with its bold punch of gaaaaarlic! I loved it. Thanks to Natalie, who offered excellent suggestions and was a perfect host for my first time dining in Port Elgin. The bar is set very high! Thank you The Berkshire ... cheers, Spicy Jan.”

“Staff are A+++, friendly, smart, and actually know how to serve. I love that the owner actually comes to the table to table and asks how the meal was. Great wine selection. This is the go to date spot in the area. I love the live music being played in the back ground some nights. Best for last!! The kitchen puts out the most delicious meals. I don't care what you order. You are not going to be disappointed. The presentation is also fantastic.”

“The only store that’s open when there is a power out, which happens in the town more often than you would think. One-stop shop, for all kinds of items. Bonus: they sell sealed Pokemon card products!”

“Great little diner, gradually got busier as we sat, service was fast and staff made sure you were taken care of. The pancakes were fluffy and the apple crisp was hot.”

“Highly recommend this restaurant if you're passing through South Hampton! The food was great. The service was great. The elote is a must try! Probably the best elote I've had. Also, the brisket burrito was mighty tasty! The atmosphere was just right and they were able to accommodate our 9 person party last minute.”

“I have stayed here and also had dinner and drinks recently. Stayed here a year ago and had dinner and drinks last week. The rooms walls are paper thin, and I could hear the lady beside us snoring all night haha but the rooms are nice. The dinner was fantastic but the cocktail menu looks great but the staff are not trained to make them. I was talking with some family members and we had wondered why the staff just had no training to serve the drinks. This is why the review rating is low because the owners could do a better job at making sure the staff are educated on what they want to offer vs throwing mud against a wall and hoping it sticks. Thank you for your reply to my review, I guess your view of my rating is negative but I explained myself in detail to give YOU what I experienced, and to take that and do as you please, but hearing only open on weekends gives you 5 days to train your staff. No need to be negative to me, you’re a service so a fair review shouldn’t be considered toxic. People who read your reply would consider you to be upset/toxic for no reason. Online reviews are good for businesses to understand what customers experienced.”

“This store is outstanding. The variety of cookware that they have is on another level. I can't recommend this place enough for anything kitchen or BBQ related. They even have a butcher shop in the back. A must visit!”

“Awesome first visit to Three Sheets at their brewery and taproom at the north end of Port Elgin. They have lots of indoor space, but this perfect sunny Sunday afternoon was obviously meant for enjoying their patio! Dog-friendly, and with a variety of seating arrangements, the patio is the place to be. Of course, the beer is the reason for visiting. Had Road Closure, their red ale which was very delicious and refreshing. About a dozen different beers to try from 3 Sheets, and for those you who love cider, Thornbury cider was available. Had a great time! Highly recommended!”

“Best Chinese food in Port Elgin, blows Tang's kitchen out of the water. Great prices, a combo for 1 is 10$ and enough food to serve 2 people, often with leftovers! I recommend their combo for 1 with the seasme chicken. The lemon chicken or beef and broccoli are also great! Usually really quick service between 10-15 minutes. I recommend calling ahead to place your order so it is ready when you get there.”

“Stumbled upon this place while in town for work and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of food selection. Great service. Went with the Morrocon chicken bowl, the cheese tortellini and sausage soup, and a small Caprese salad. All awesome stuff.”

“We decided to have lunch there the other day. I ordered a chicken burger with fries. I was delighted to be given real slices of chicken breast on a bun. Lunch was fantastic. Service was good. Coffee could’ve been fresher. It’d been sitting on the warmer a bit too long and was bitter as a result. We’ll definitely return.”

“I’ve been going here for years. I absolutely adore this place. As a vegan, they have tons of options that are delicious and not overpriced. I’ve had the vegan pizza, apple stick, samosa, chocolate cookie, and sweet marie. I’ve been incredibly impressed at every visit. My non vegan parents love the butter tarts and danishes. The worker with the quick jokes and puns is always a delight. Last but not least, make sure you tip 😉”

“My favorite Chinese food during the summer visiting our family in Olyphant. We always go back to Channings because the food is clean, flavours are consistent and the price is right . We usually find a bench by the beach to eat or go back to our cottage. I recommend this place.”

“My daughter picked this spot for us to eat at Sauble beach. The menu was nicely laid out and the staff were extremely helpful in answering any questions before we placed our order. We ate around 5:30pm, the sun was starting to set and the weather was very comfortable to sit outside at one of the many picnic tables they had outside. It took roughly 20min to get our order and the food was very tasty. The portions were large enough that when you were finished, you felt that you were full. I had the taco bowl with sweet potato (hold the pickled onion) and my daughter and wife had the taco bowl with chicken ( hold the pickled onion as well). It was a great dinner to finish off our day trip to Sauble. We went back to the beach after and stayed for the gold orange sun set.”
