“I'm giving the Westview 5 stars because it was clean and served my needs perfectly. It's not a fancy hotel, hence the name "motel". It is what it is - an unpretentious place to crash at night. I was in room #2 and the bed was very comfortable... the pillows were firmer than I'd prefer, but I got by. The air conditioning unit didn't really blow cold air, so if it's really hot during the day don't expect it to be like an icebox in the room. The bathroom was small all the way around, but it was fine. No complaints. My friend and I brought our bicycles and there was ample room to store the bikes in our rooms. The new(er) plastic Adirondack chairs outside the rooms were actually very comfy. Stacy, the manager, was super friendly, as was her sister that was tending bar at the Westview Tavern. For the adventurer that is going to be out seeing the island all day the Westview is a great place to stay.”

“You know the accommodations are great when they become one of your favourite parts of the trip. The Wandering Dog Inn is incredibly special and made our adventure to Pelee Island an amazing getaway. Cathy and Kevin were the perfect hosts; warm, helpful, and chalk-full of good stories and island history. Visits from their uber-friendly dog, Fred, were an added bonus. The breakfast was excellent and they built us a bonfire for one of the warm fall evenings. The cabins are beautiful and immaculately clean, with super comfortable beds, charcoal barbecues, and kitchen basics. Each cabin has a large, private screened-in porch — perfect for having an afternoon nap in the slung-up hammock, or a glass of wine and a game of crib while listening to the waves crashing on the coast, just down the road. The grounds, gardens, and main house feel like a step back in time, and are totally picture-worthy. We loved our time on Pelee Island - the slow-down mentality, friendly locals, beautiful landscapes, and the unique wildlife. It was everything an escape from the daily grind should be, and The Wandering Dog inn made us feel completely relaxed, comfortable, and connected to the Island so we could really take it all in. “I stayed at The Gathering Place for only 1 night. It was very easy to find. Marg and Bernie greeted me at the door upon arrival. They were very warm, welcoming and considerate. They provided me recommendations on things to do around the island as well as directions if needed. They were very generous and kind. The property was lovely, with many relaxing and beautiful spots to sit and enjoy some coffee or Pelee Island wine. The bedroom was clean, cozy and presentable. Breakfast was amazing and exceeded my expectations. They were very accommodative to my dietary restrictions. I definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking to enjoy a quiet, relaxing getaway. I will definitely be returning, and for more than 1 night next time. Thank you to Marg, Bernie, Jubejube & Chubzy the house cats!”

“Reasonable price for camping. No services. They have restrooms and showers. Good proximity to beach. It's rough camping with no services. Don't expect anything more than a place to setup your tent and a bathroom close by. To me that's the good camping!”

“Becky & Hayward are great hosts. The breakfast is wonderful and the rooms are cozy & clean. The porch and sitting room are great spaces for relaxing and socializing. We were visiting for the winery half marathon, the location is super convenient for the start & end of the race. Two bedrooms have lake views with sunset. I highly recommend this place.”

“5 stars are not enough to describe this place. Greeted upon our arrival by Ron and Lynn. Very warm and welcoming from the start. Full of information about the islands history and so much more. The cottage was spotless when we walked in. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Awesome shower pressure!!! The back deck is a hidden gem. The sounds of day, plenty of birds to watch and listen to. At night the fire flies crickets among other insects was amazing. The Deck across the road to gaze across lake Erie was a spectacle in itself as each night the Sun and lake gave an amazing show of colour and wildlife. As this trip happened during COVID the island was very quiet. So it was a perfect escape from the hustle n bustle of everyday Toronto. The beaches are amazing the water clean. Would we be back? In a second!! If you haven't been to Pelee Island put it on your list. Thank you so much Lynn and Ron for an amazing Stay, the garlic and tomatoes are outstanding!! Will for sure see you again in the future!!”
