Booth's Rock Trail

Park Point of interest Establishment Tourist attraction

“We try to do this trail every year, a real gem of the park! We stick to the traditional route entering through the entrance, although we notice many people enter through the exit as it’s an easier climb to the peak with a wood staircase to aid the ascent. It took us 1h 35min to complete the trail this year walking quickly and stopping briefly at the top for photos. It’s a bit of a steep incline to the top but very doable. Once at the lookout above you can see the beauty of the park for miles! A great spot to stop, have a snack and enjoy the beautiful fall colours. Additionally, the exit of the trail is very easy to navigate as it’s relaxing walk along a beautiful beach shoreline. We will continue to do this trail every year as it gives us the best bang for our buck. Shorter and easier to navigate than Centennial Ridges with one of the best views in the park as your payoff.”

“I ordered two separate large meals for my intimate cottage wedding recently. I had always heard good things about Abbey Gardens but they completely blew us away! The food was fantastic and everyone raved about it. We worked with a few staff members who were all amazing, responsive and catered to our needs and requests. We had leftovers that I personally ate for days as it was so delicious, I highly recommend the chicken pasta casserole and butter tarts! Thank you so much to the chef and to everyone we worked with for such amazing food for our event!”

Circuit of Five Viewpoints Trailhead

Address: 2029 Little Hawk Lake Rd, Algonquin Highlands, ON K0M 1J2, Canada

Park Point of interest Establishment

“Was a great trail for the most part. There were definitely more challenging areas in the western section going up and down the hills and valleys. Took me around 3 hours, stopping occasionally to take pictures at the view areas and to catch my breath. However, there were a few points where the trail was not clearly marked. The most confusing was in the area around the quarry. If you are coming from viewpoints 5 & 4 and going toward 3, 2 & 1, then you eventually come to a three way crossroad with no visible markers. If you go straight, you end up going to the water and a trail with a sign that says private property. This needs to be fixed. You will most likely wonder in circles for a few minutes before finding a couple of blue direction arrows. Also, view point 3, 2 and 1 are not marked like 4 and 5 so it might be hard to figure out how much further you have based on the viewpoints if you're looking at the map. If you are going for the breathtaking view you really only need to go down the trail to viewpoint 4 and when the trail takes you back to the road, you can walk back to your car. Views 3, 2 and 1 are nice but not as good. But that's just my opinion.”

Crests Of Kennisis Trailhead

Address: Algonquin Highlands, ON K0M 1J2, Canada

Park Point of interest Establishment

“I managed the Crests Of Kennisis Trailhead today from Hawk Lake Log Chute but coming back down was a challenge. The rock face is very wet and a lot of mud involved. Slippery areas and could be very dangerous for some. Once up to the top some nice views. I'm surprised it's not closed off or warnings but all I seen was warning signs stating it's hunting season and to wear bright colors. Well I wished I had seen this notice before I started up. But overall very nice area.”
