“We had a wonderful weekend here, although it was rainy when we visited. The folks who live in the park are all very friendly and were welcoming to us outsiders who were just camping for the weekend. My friends and my wife and I had a really large campsite - four tents, and four cars - and we probably could've fit another ten tents on the size. Waterfront access, which was great, although mucky. This park is beautiful if you are looking for a nice, friendly and well-maintained alternative to the provincial park system (or if it's booked up)!”

“I absolutely love this place!!! Been going there for almost 40 years!!! (To the pub part). They've done some lovely restoration work and upgrades to everything!!! An historic site in Minden!!! Charming, comfortable, friendly! I heard a few real 'pearls of wisdom' there. My favorite from a local man named Harvey Macintosh (but you can call me mac). He said, "girly, love many, trust few and learn to paddle your own canoe'!!!🤣😂”

“Lovely little spot. Be sure that the room we had (number 1) is simply a spot to rest your head. Tiny room with two twin beds, a fridge, coffee maker and a bathroom. The place was spotless which is my favourite part. But you can tell that some TLC is put into this older location. The newer cedar ceiling in the bath with the new vinyl floor, recently changed out shower set. Tile was clean and shiny. The beds were comfortable enough for my daughter and myself. The room was comfortable before we stepped in. The owners (Paul and Dora?) are very kind people. They knew I was hauling a trailer and he moved his school bus to make room for me. He also offered to drive me to the closest restaurant (I walked - not far) and provided me with utensils when their takeout didn't have any. He did tell me there was a lodge with tables for eating and playing games, across the parking lot, but I didn't go there. I think my only complaints would be regarding the door locks which seem to baffle my neighbours as well - they work but take a little learning, and some covid awareness since no masks or plexiglass was evident at the front desk. Prices were very reasonable, IMO, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank-you very much!”

“Ray's Place is a fantastic place to spend the day offroading with a Jeep, 4x4, ATV etc. and/or renting a hut or room for the weekend. Note, it's real offroading. Don't try it with your stock family SUV, unless its a very capable one. The new management are some of the nicest people you could meet.”

“Did take out for New Year's Eve. Well thought out no contact pick up service. Four course meal was excellent quality. We arranged to have main course undercooked so we could take our time with earlier courses and reheat in microwave. Worked perfectly using shorter time on reheat setting in the microwave safe containers the food came in. Well done Heather Lodge. Hats off to the incredible chef!”

“My 2 sons, me and my husband stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin over Christmas. We had such a lovely time, and hope to make it our new family Christmas tradition. The cabin was immaculate with everything we could need and the grounds are beautiful. My sons enjoyed tobogganing and lighting evening campfires to roast marshmallows and we also enjoyed some local hikes while we were there. Town is close by so picking up some extra groceries was very easy. The owners have done a wonderful job adapting to the restrictions COVID has brought, but it doesn’t feel like you are missing out on anything much because it is such a tranquil, beautiful place to be with plenty of things to do even with restrictions present. If you are looking for a quiet winter getaway please try Ogopogo resort. My heart is full from the memories I have made with my family while there and I can’t wait to go back. Many thanks to Todd and Catherine for creating such a lovely place.”

“We stayed here for 3 days in mid August. It exceeded all our expectations. We wanted to disconnect and explore the area which is what we did. The staff are all young people and they were wonderful. The accommodations are rustic but that’s the charm of this place. The food was incredible! We met people who visit yearly and we could see why.”

“Stayed in a 4 person hut over a weekend in January. The hut was in great condition and looked virtually new. The solar light and USB charger was a nice surprise, but the top 2 bunks are so close to the ceiling you can't sit or even kneel on them. Most of the staff were quite nice and helped us load and unload all of our gear; however, a warning to anyone planning to head up after work: they insisted on charging us a $50 late arrival fee for showing up at 8pm despite not mentioning this anywhere on their site or in any communications with us before hand.”
