“Real neat spot to sit and watch or picnic or walk around. We came after Labour Day so the visitor center was closed. The bathrooms were open at the top of the locks which was great. Not a lot of boats coming through but saw the lock transfer twice in the 1.5 hr we were there. The operator at the top end was very engaged and came out to explain how it works and had some stuff for the kids which certainly enhanced the experience.”

“Took a tour from the Trent Severn Waterway Locks Tour Company, and it was great. Explanations were interesting and clear. A bar downstairs on the tour boat was well stocked, and all workers were friendly and helpful. Washrooms on board. CoVid rules were followed and we felt safer knowing everyone on the tour was double vaxxed. Enjoyed learning how the locks worked. You should go!”

“My husband and I had a negative experience through no fault of the farm itself but I would like to point out how positive it turned out when we encountered an employee named JOEY. Very respectful kind and just a huge asset to the McLean family business. I say this because I took notice of how he spoke to other people who came there to pick berries. He made people feel welcome. I say this in contrast to the day we came to pick strawberries on the LAST day (and later in the day) when it was stressed to us at our age NOT to eat berries while we were picking. I felt it wasn't necessary to even make that a point considering the circumstances. We were picking 2 quarts. It certainly didn't leave a good taste. Thanks to Joey we will be back.”
