“Friendly and very nice people own this restaurant. We were from out of town and asked for spicy, very very spicy goat and chicken. After a few bites, no spice. We realized the sauce was on the side and it was the best I have ever had. All the food was fresh and this is by far the best Jamaican cuisine in the Toronto area, even though it's like n hour outside.”

“If you want a taste of New Orleans cuisine this is the place to go !! I had the Gumbo which was fantastic , with a side of potato salad and some corn bread. The potato salad had nice big chunks and was very flavourful. The corn bread was sweet and quite moist. Have to go in on a Tuesday for Jambalaya !!”

“Grabbed lunch here one day while working in the area, cheeseburger, fries. I thought the burger was ok. Decided a second visit was in order, so went back a few days later and had the beef dip... It was a punch in the face with yummy. Honestly one of the tastiest I've ever had. I think Ridgeway/Crystal Beach has a gem here if that was any indication. “We had a great experience at The Comet takeout last night. The menu has a good range of items to choose from and they all sound great. I’m sure we will try them all at some point. The owners are friendly and welcoming, having many quick conversations with people that are passing by on the street. The food is freshly made and is full of flavour with unique ingredients. Portions were more then enough for a meal and the price point is spot on. Overall it is exciting to see that there is life being brought back to Crystal Beach and the restaurants and shoppe owners are enthusiastic. Would highly recommend The Comet Takeout to anyone looking for an amazing pub meal to go. We will be back for sure.”
