“The Cascades Conservation Area has some nice trails that are not too technical but also not too flat. The trails connect to Trowbridge Falls and Centennial Park. The highlight of the area is the Cascade Falls and rapids, a beautiful water feature running between exposed rock on either side of the river. Unfortunately you have to be very careful because there is alot of broken glass on the rocks.”

“Absolutely love this place! It may seem small, but there's a huge variety of unique and interesting plants to see. The cactus gardens were closed to the public during my visit in January 2020 due to a structural issue with the glass ceiling, but the view from the entryway is certainly worth checking out.”

“Bird banding at the McKellar Island Bird Observatory is a great experience for people of all ages. You can drop in any morning during the spring and fall migratory seasons (except when raining or with high winds), and enjoy the outdoors while you learn about and interact with the birds that fly though. I highly recommend it to any nature lovers.”
