“Nice little bakery full of delicious-looking pastries and baked goods. As soon as you enter, the pleasant smells enter your nose. The service is great, and prices are fair. Highly recommended!”

“The place has an insane variety of whiskeys, so if you're a fan of whiskey or just curious in trying some, this would be the perfect place to do it. The food is great and the quality has remained consistent thought-out the many years that I've been coming here. On the menu: • Salmon Wellington: Canadian Atlantic Salmon, spinach and cream cheese wrapped in puffed pastry, served over a bed of Québec asparagus. • Liverpool Broil: Slow braised beef shoulder, fingerling potatoes, pearl onions, bacon, wild mushrooms, heirloom carrots. • Eric's cut: Butcher’s cut, red wine & whisky reduction jus, seasonal vegetables, chips. • Burgundy Lion Sandwich: Prime rib, Aged cheddar, arugula, tomatoes, pickled onion & peppers, house Branston, Dijon, onion brioche, crisps. Dessert : • Pudding Yorkshire Lyle's Cocktails: • Guava Nice Day: Havana Dark Rum, Guava Nectar, Orgeat syrup, Lime juice. Everything was fresh and delicious, including the tropically flavored cocktail. The portions are also quite large, so if you're starving as you're reading this review, this would be the place to go. They have a small, inner court yard terrace, which is nice and cozy during the summer and the fall months, and a large outdoors terrace, located in front of the restaurant during the summer months. I've also had a chance to experience their High Tea service, happening every second Sunday and last Sunday afternoons of each month (by reservation only). Please note that if you'd like to give this experience a try, you'd need to book it way in advance. I've reserved my spot 20 days in advance, and otherwise it was fully booked. Start the morning with one of the many available, delicious, organic teas, followed by some savoury snacks and sweets, served on two-layered platters. At a first glance it doesn't look like a lot of food, but it's quite deceptive. Mimosas and specialty cocktails are also available for this service. I've tried the King Cole Mimosa and the Burgundy Julep, and both were delicious. Overall, a fun and relaxing Sunday morning experience at the bright and sunny, top floor garden conservatory, with friendly and courteous service from the Lion crew.”

“We came here with family for our dinner. The restaurant was nice. Good service. Mushroom bruschetta was awesome, so as spaghetti with mushroom sauce. There were varieties of pizza. We took a spicy one which was delicious. The dough could have been crunchier. But it was good. Burrata as an entrée was tasty too. Lasagna was yummy. It was snowing when we were having dinner. So looking through windows seeing the snow was very nice.”

“El Gordo was a lovely place to dine at with chatty staff members and a lovely ambiance. From the brunch menu to the drinks everything was packed with amazing options. It serves a delicious brunch that keeps you full but not stuffed and their vegetarian options were not only flavourful but very appealing. I’d recommend, Portobello to any of my fellow vegetarians. It’s a great place for a subtle family outing and a definitive rebook for a good way to start the day with some spice on a lazy afternoon.”

“Fresh from the oven pizzas. Their meat pizzas are very tasty , my Italian friends please excuse, the pineapple pizza here is good, but the taste is not consistent, I wish it was consistent. The fries portions are large and a medium box is enough for a family of 4. Overall very good pizza place.”

“Awesome food. The flavours just dance in your mouth. Good portions and great sauces to choice from. I’ve had the Poisson Bombay Bowl twice now it’s so good. The fish is cooked to perfection. Great kind people, always happy and helpful.”

“This restaurant only recently opened and is offering some pretty good promotions at the moment. I’ve gone here twice in the past week and the poke bowls and salads have been delicious. Today my car got stuck in the snow outside their restaurant and the owner even helped me shovel the snow so I could get out! I will be back for sure.”

“Great location, really pretty decor and presentation. We got real yummy drinks (smoothie beer), the waitress was really nice, but she seemed to be working alone and there were quite a bit of people in there. We would of love to eat there as well but when we got up to order food, the waitress informed us that the kitchen is closed on Tuesdays 😫 we unfortunately had to leave and go eat elsewhere, or else we would of eaten there and ordered more drinks.”

“We had a last minute cancellation from another caterer, and Nick stepped in the day before the event with quick and helpful responses and made our event unforgettable. The food was amazing, wonderful and fresh and presented beautifully. It disappeared quickly and everyone commented all night on how great it was. The other caterer canceling was the best thing that could have happened! We will definitely be using Phoenix again and recommending to everyone.”

“This is a very good place, a lot of great tasty foods with an affordable and cheap price! It’s not that fancy but it’s still worth going. They have a lot of payment types you can pay with too. A very friendly owner too, I visit it every day Monday-Friday (mostly) but not Wednesday as it’s mini day for my high school. Very friendly workers there too!! Sadly there’s not many lunch options. Edit; if you’re a student at James Lyng High School, Adult Ed, Outreach, Focus, Aim High, SAIL, etc. I’d prefer the cafeteria. I paid $4 for the month, worth it better than paying everyday, but some stuff you’ll have to pay but it’s really cheap. Still I’d recommend the restaurant but if you don’t like paying everyday, the cafeteria is better for you.”

“This place has great food. The curry goat is good, but has a lot of potential. May I suggest the chef go to Trinidad and go meet my auntie she will teach him how to make it and come back. Willing to chip in for plane ticket. Thank you P.S: i highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich, it’s very good. The end.”

“You simply cannot get as tasty a meal with this amount of protein for the same price. I like to try new things on the same menu at a restaurant, but the spicy chicken sandwich is so good I can't get myself to order anything else. I've tasted things I've never tasted before thanks to that creamy coleslaw combined with the gochujang sauce. Also, their fries are delicious and plentiful.”

“This place was amazing with extremely fast and good quality service, literally making 13 pizzas in less than 15 minutes. Great staff as well over all great experience. A special shout to Arshia who really helped us a lot and accommodated for me and my friends.”

“Waited 40 mins for just the jerk chicken sandwich. Asked for a mild one but when I got home it was extremely spicy, so I could not eat it. The sandwich alone was 11.50$... Other places make similar sandwiches for 8$. I give some stars for being nice. But masks were not on while making food...”

“Im not gonna lie, I thought it was a bit pricey when I first went. However I have been back twice within a month, so I guess you can say, it is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY!! I hope quality, portions and price remain (as many new restaurants after a year or two trend downwards), however right now, its hard to beat this restaurant for freshness and deliciousness. I cant wait to go back.”

“Often passed by but never ordered from them. They're a small family run shop. Today I gave them a shot and ordered off UberEats. Good portions for your order, especially the large spicy sour soup. Take out containers are durable plastic that can be microwaved and reused, which is nice. General Tao's isn't too thick in flour, which is good. Yangzhou fried rice is a bit oily and darker than what you generally expect.”

“I had a feeling when I saw this place it probably had really good authentic pizza unlike the big franchise places like dominos pizza hut etc. Omg best pizza in Montreal! And the price is so low for the amount and quality! So glad I just moved a couple blocks away.”
