“Such an amazing place! The train ride is a unique experience, absolutely a must. There are many animals to see in all other areas. The zoo is also an opportunity to see the striking and severe boreal forest up close. I also really appreciated the kids area with the water games and mini farm - it's a great place to have a picnic or an ice cream. There are also picnic tables (some with roofs) throughout the zoo, so it's easy to take a break. Overall, a must see in Lac Saint-Jean area.”

“+: tickets are available for 48 hours +: Marco's the best guide ever, we learned so much Very interesting museum to discover the Ilnu culture. The museum is very interactive and playful, even the kids would love it. There's also an outside exhibition, which is guided. Not that expensive for the experience.”

“An amazing, wonderful experience. Michel is a wonderful host. Responsive, so caring and helpful. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to really be in the middle of nature, seeing flying squirrels, moose. You feel like you are just living in the forest, but you are in a comfortable, beautiful place.”

“Super informative and well-informed butter making workshop! Had cheese offered at the end to taste too. Learned a lot about the history and how the cheese factory got developed. Would recommend if you’re in the area like us for a road trip :)”

“Great view from our 2nd floor balcony of the lake! Room window was large for the view too. Good size room; not new or modern but still quite good. We stayed here while cycling the Véloroute. They had a storage room for our bikes. Important to note that the front desk is only open from 8am - 7pm (not great when we couldn't get the TV working after dinner but reception was closed). They have a bar on site; not a restaurant. Within walking distance of local restaurants.”

“Regarding what people say, I think it's worth the price. It's a real experience within an "abandoned" city. The different parts of the city come with nice people, great explanation written and visual, you learn a lot about the people who lived there and how was their life.”
