“Alex went out of his way to take my family and me on a kayak tour of Desolation Pass. We were on the last day of our vacation and didn't have a reservation. He was on his way to go out on his own, but he put his plans aside and spent a wonderful 1.5 hours hosting us through the beautiful waters of the state park. His friendly manner and guiding skills made us feel right at home (even my 4 year old daughter!). I can't recommend Alex and BBB highly enough. And just to be clear - I'm not encouraging anyone to follow in my footsteps ... if you want a tour, make a reservation ;->”

“Such a fun place! Really delicious pizzas - high quality ingredients and fun combinations. Set in a beautiful location, you’ve gotta check it out! Looking forward to when they’ve fully built out their beer options, but the ones I’ve had have already been great.”

“One of the best places in the world. Super small and quaint. Would not necessarily call it a park, and beach access is minimal but a very peaceful place to sit and watch nature”

“We had an older unit, the bathtub looked really black around the drain. I think it was just the enamel eroded away but it looked pretty bad. Also, we had no air conditioning and no fan so be mindful of the weather when booking here. Other than that, it was perfect. It was low key, quiet, and a nice little continental breakfast. Nothing fancy but it was perfect for our two night stay. It's close to the ferry but be careful if you plan to walk, in the evening there's very few street lights and not really much of a sidewalk.”

“Beautiful drive from Seattle to this location. The oysters were really fresh and tasty - but small. Great service - I wanted the experience if shucking them myself but ended but not capable. They did it w/o charging me. Thank You!!!! I did manage to shuck one after watching them do it. Cute little lighthouse on property.”

“Great place, especially if you with small kids. Many things at one location: great views, beach with some sealife, you may hike few steps and get to the hill for astonishing view, without kids you can get to some "rock above water" points. And it is great for picnics. Due to location and water may have quite cool winds, so better to have extra layers even in a sunny day just in case.”

“Nice picnic shelter and restrooms. Large grassy area, beach and tidal pools. Trails lead to beautiful views. Limited parking but usually not full at this beach.”

“I've camped at Bowman Bay with all of my aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I love this area so much and the hikes are beautiful and easy for little ones. The Washington state park biology volunteers are great and taught us a lot about the local sea life. The tide pools are always fun to explore and it's a close place for a day trip from the Seattle area.”

“The tide pools are nice to visit and photograph. Good place to learn about marine life and signs nearby tell you about the tide pools.”

“We went on 2 separate fishing outings with R&R Charters. The 2 captains, Paul and Brett, were very knowledgeable and did everything they could to help us catch fish. They were also friendly and fun to spend time with. I would highly recommend them and hope to come back in the future for another charter”
