One of my favorite places on the west coast. No matter the weather, extremely beautiful! Great spot for a picnic or to log some miles, connecting it with all the trails in the area!
I've camped at Bowman Bay with all of my aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I love this area so much and the hikes are beautiful and easy for little ones. The Washington state park biology volunteers are great and taught us a lot about the local sea life. The tide pools are always fun to explore and it's a close place for a day trip from the Seattle area.
It’s a beautiful sight here in the PNW. Make sure to read the story by the statue of the Native Sea woman on your way up.
Accessible through Bowman Bay, it seems there is camping permitted (but I'm not positive), the Rosario trail is good for various levels of hikers, very lush and well kept.
One of my favorite places on Earth is Rosario Head and the accompanying beach. An excellent mix of forest and sea, and a dose of culture with the Maiden of Deception Pass and also the Civilian Conservation Corps exhibit at Bowman Bay.
