Northland Lodge

Great hostess at historic lodge on edge of Waterton Park town - very convenient to restaurants in town but enough out of town to be very quiet. Room was very small but very charming. Great views from the deck. One of the other guests we met had been coming for 25 years. Not one of the big "national park lodges" - had about 8 rooms so was very cozy. Lovely common living room to sit and relax in.

I can't say enough nice things about Stacy, who runs the lodge. She came through for us during high season and with her family visiting! What an amazing experience we had visiting the beauty of Waterton! The lodge is in a great location and nice and quiet in the evenings. We saw lots of deer, a chipmunk, and young prairie dogs roaming nearby. Fresh hot coffee and yummy muffins were had each morning. We will definitely be back! Thank you Stacy!

Location! Location! Location! Waterton is a beautiful getaway in the southern Canadian Rockies and this lodge is a 5 minute walk from downtown. Great hiking paths are just out the back door. Cozy is the perfect word to describe this nearly 100 year old Lodge that has been run by 4 generations in the same family. The proprietor does a terrific job and is always available with travel guidance for the area. And yes - the muffins are very good! If she has any huckleberry pie, get a slice. If only once slice don’t tell your travel companion.

This was our first visit to Northland Lodge, but we made reservations for the fall and next spring. A small, family run business, the staff (Jeannie) is very welcoming and she knows the area and its history. Her muffins, right out of the oven each morning, were delicious. Our room was small but a good value for the price, clean and comfortable. The lodge is a pleasant 10 minute walk from the "downtown" area. Although we live closer to Banff, Northland Lodge and Waterton Park are a far nicer experience.
