Overpriced, beds are too short (and I’m only 6ft) and staff aren’t especially accommodating. I requested to check in an hour early as I was exhausted from a day-hike, was told that no rooms were available yet (they didn’t even ask my name), and had to wait outside. When I got to my shared hostel room, 3 beds were available…
On another note, I wish there were social events or other ways to meet young travellers staying at the hostel. Next time I’m in the Rockies going to choose somewhere more comfortable.
Very expensive for the lack of cleanliness that we experienced yesterday in the common spaces. We smelled the urine in the salon and the shared bathrooms were dirty! So yes, there are not enough employees but aren’t we entitled to a discount then ? We couldn’t enjoy all the amenities.
This youth hostel will put your 4 star hotel to shame. We came with a family of 4 and stayed in a quiet room with a private shower. My kids have really been impressed with this place. My wife came here with her Mom 25 years ago at this exact location and now we are here again. After hiking to Lake Moraine during the day, playing a game of pool with my son at the communal space at night will surely cement our memories here.
This was a little expensive but than again, it’s Lake Louise so accommodations are going to be. This place felt like home away from home. There is a full kitchen to cook and a cafe is also available. The beds are very nice - probably memory foam so we slept really good. There is a sauna on bottom floor.
Living here is probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I met many travellers here, and they remind me of the dream of “travelling the world” when I was a teenager. I would like to say I appreciate to live here.
All my roommates are polite and quiet. And seeing them come and go, that they’re busy on their travelling schedule, was one of the best things I’ve experienced.
The kitchen is big and clean. The restaurant is busy after 6 pm.
And yes, the place is clean, staffs are friendly.
Highly recommend and I think I’ll come back again!
