“Great service and incredible views. The food from the children's menu was apparently good. The halibut was served cold (after about a 35 to 40 minute wait) as was a pasta dish. They were promptly replaced with hot dishes though which were good. The lobster blta was served with a toasted bun that was cold. Apparently that's how it is generally served but I don't understand why a bun would be toasted and then served cold. The drinks were excellent.”

“You are definitely paying for the location when staying at the property. I loved being able to get up before sunrise and walk to Lake Louise each morning. . Issues: my room was “double booked” and I was not notified of this until I was standing at the check in desk. I was given a smaller room with less beds and this was very inconvenient for our group of (4). I was not offered a discount or any thing else for the huge inconvenience. Only an insincere apology. It was 11pm at night and I was exhausted after driving all day, so I had to take what I could get. The hot tub was closed for maintenance and we were never put on notice. The ice machine never worked the whole time we were here. No elevators (however, I am understanding to the fact that it is an old lodge. So this wasn’t a huge issue). I was disappointed that there was no fridge in the room for our lunch items we were storing in a cooler. . The breakfast was good, but the flow is not set up very well and the food ran out quickly with long waits for refills. . Overall: I would stay here again just for the location, but I would come with very low expectations.”

“Very busy, had to wait but well worth it. The pub is attached to a hotel but does cater for non-residents. They do not take reservations. We were in the area in early July. On our first night we drove to the pub and found it to be very busy with no tables available. We were asked if we wanted to wait as a space at the bar would become available shortly if we wanted it. We said we would. The pub itself is not very big but is extremely popular. The menu is small but there is something for everyone. There were tv screens on the walls showing baseball. We’ve never sat and eaten at a bar before but the casual nature of the evening made it a good spot to sit and eat. We had a great conversation with the couple next to us who we found out were in the car behind us that day taking pictures of a bear on the Icefields Parkway near Bow Lake. We only had one course as there were no starters (only soup and salad) listed on the menu. However, the portion size of the mains was more than adequate to satisfy the soul. Having tried poutine in Nova Scotia (and not liking it much), I decided to try the pub’s bison brisket poutine. And wow, so much better. The brisket was tender and fell apart and the poutine had the right amount of saltiness so as not to be overpowering. The generous portion size meant I couldn’t finish it. I could see it was a popular dish as more and more plates were coming from the kitchen. My husband had a burger and chips and he said his was good too. We also had a couple of beers and a soft drink. Total bill with tips $95, £58”

“The Lake Louise Village Grill is a busy tourist stop for lunch. It's located upstairs in the Samson shopping mall and is accessible by elevator. I noticed this place has a lot of bad reviews about the service. We were fortunate enough to have a great experience with an extremely quick turnaround time! The difference may be that we told them right away that we only had 45 minutes total to eat, so we could make our next tour on time. They proceeded to hustle and make it happen. We ordered the veggie burger and spring rolls. Both were great! The views from upstairs were really nice too. I would highly recommend communicating with the staff to let them know if you are in a hurry. Give them a chance to accommodate before writing a bad review.”

“This place is a little gem! The restaurant blows me away every time, had the elk bison burger 5☆. The next night had the scallops and elk it was amazing, my bf had the pork it was to die for. Love this place. The cabins are cozy with wood burning fireplace so romantic!”

“Beautiful lodge which was a pleasure to visit. The interior could benefit from a refresh and outside on the exterior, added water points dotted around for using your own bottles would be a massive plus. The Park & Ride system works, especially to Moraine Lake. The Gondola was fun as an experience and offered great views, although a bit hazy and I felt not good value for money at $60 per adult.”

“Spent four days skiing the only open run and trying different menu items. The hot chocolate with rye and maple was presented with two chocolate sticks and whipped topping. Make sure you remember to add quinoa next time please. The chili was pretty decent. Bit pricey but thats mountain life.”

“Can’t speak to how the food is but this place was really fun, staff were so friendly Drinks were good. Although it was not too busy ( this was on a Monday night) the vibes were still great. Fairly priced as well. Music was good, overall a fun experience!”

“The waitress suggested us the buffalo chicken sandwich and calamari. We love the sandwich so much, the chicken was crispy and the sauce was just delicious. The drink was okay.”

“Great spot in Banff for drinks and some eats! Loved the selection of beers they have and the pub food was just great! I had the wings and chicken noodle soup! Additionally, I did thoroughly enjoy how close in proximity everything was in Banff! Great spot for lunch or even a stop for a night out!”

“The hotel is a bit old but nice. The room was spacious and we had access to a huge shared balcony which was very nice. That said, the room was not serviced well. We never got enough towels and the trash cans were not emptied once. The swimming pool was nice but it is *very* small and the water were freezing (which didn’t stop my kids from enjoying it!). The hot tub was great! Spacious, hot and strong jets.”

“The host was nice and welcoming. The table for 2 is very small, the wine was very good, the food average, the mast potatoes was terrible, and to little vegetables for danish taste,,,the room was nice and the atmosphere good”

“Beautiful experience. The view is wonderful. (picture), there are places to sit both outside and inside. The waiter is a genuine guy which was very friendly. There are multiple gluten free options which js great. I had the maclab burger with salad which tasted 🤌🏻. Further, the pilsner is good. So, I would highly recommend this place”

“Nothing short of spectacular. Our dinning experience was amazing from the start. Our Server was excellent, the food...the food was AMAZING. We love to dine out and treat ourselves to a fancier meal once in a while, and this was worth every penny! The decor was subtle, but the food colourful, well thought out and presented beautifully. If I could kiss the chef, I would. This restaurant is a go to for sure.”

“We had an absolute blast here. The Flatbread was amazing, and service from Sam was phenomenal. The happy hour menu is great and the service is fast. The only reason I am giving it a 3 star is because the bar manager I believe her name was Alec, was not very inviting and the few times we went up to order she was far from polite to both the patrons and incredibly dismissive to the staff. All in all, it is highly recommended to grab a nice crafted beer and sit by the fire or hanging out at the bar. It's definitely worth it during your stay.”

“The afternoon tea experience was fabulous! This was my first time and WOW. The teas were incredible, we even bought some of the special jasmine tea to take home. The food was excellent and the desserts were to die for. Our server was Pilar. She was one of the best servers I have ever had and we travel all over the world. So descriptive, friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back again!”

“We went for mother's day brunch. The service was fantastic. Our server was professional, yet fun. Any interaction with staff was outstanding. The food was pretty good with many options. I will likely not book a room here though, as the areas that we were in did not seem very clean, like the whole place needed a really good scrub.”

“Really loved the atmosphere here at Buffalo Mountain Lodge. From the friendly and accommodating staff to the lovely amenities. As soon as we got here we were welcomed, and asked if we needed anything. They even called to check in on us after we checked in late to make sure everything was running smoothly with our room. The room was very clean and everything was working. We had plush, clean robes in plastic ready for us in the closet, which we definitely used for the hot tub. They also had clean towels in the room next to the hot tub if you didn’t bring your robe. After a long day of hiking in Banff, we lit a fire in the fireplace in our room. Which was already set up and they even included matches and kindling to make starting a fire easier. Even tho the price was expensive for one night because of summer inflation. It was so worth it and everything exceeded our expectations. Including the morning breakfast at their restaurant on site called The Prow. Already planning our next trip here! Can’t wait!”
