“This hotel is good for workers in Drayton Valley. Rent a room here and get a meal voucher for the Sky lounge 1 per person. This is a perk fosho. Hotel is dated, the roof is leaking above the pool (pool is also closed), and the parking lot is slippery in the winter ( I fell and hit my head on the running board of my truck). When driving into town from Highway 22, just turn into tow by the 3 oil rig Derrick and follow the road until you see the "HO" on the side of the building. Can't miss it.”

“Finally had the chance to taste one of the best butter chickens in town. Plus, their lemon pepper wings, cooked consistently. Awesome service from Melody and the team working today. Our third visit this year; driving from SK to Calgary. This will always be part of our itinerary.”

“Lurking just off the highway, OT Sports Lounge is a casual, no-frills sports bar type place with a simple, rugged menu. The menu isn't huge, but it's clear they want to focus on what they're good at- those in the mood for sandwiches or wings will be well-pleased. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, but a little direction regarding how to pay the bill (at the table or the bar) would enhance the experience.”

“My family has been coming her for three generations. The service is good, typical small menu of bar food and the owner is very friendly. He kept the bar open late on a Monday night so our whole family (+25 people) had a place to gather after my grandfather's prayer service. Our family really appreciated how he looked after us until late into the night.”

“Great service and incredible views. The food from the children's menu was apparently good. The halibut was served cold (after about a 35 to 40 minute wait) as was a pasta dish. They were promptly replaced with hot dishes though which were good. The lobster blta was served with a toasted bun that was cold. Apparently that's how it is generally served but I don't understand why a bun would be toasted and then served cold. The drinks were excellent.”

“You are definitely paying for the location when staying at the property. I loved being able to get up before sunrise and walk to Lake Louise each morning. . Issues: my room was “double booked” and I was not notified of this until I was standing at the check in desk. I was given a smaller room with less beds and this was very inconvenient for our group of (4). I was not offered a discount or any thing else for the huge inconvenience. Only an insincere apology. It was 11pm at night and I was exhausted after driving all day, so I had to take what I could get. The hot tub was closed for maintenance and we were never put on notice. The ice machine never worked the whole time we were here. No elevators (however, I am understanding to the fact that it is an old lodge. So this wasn’t a huge issue). I was disappointed that there was no fridge in the room for our lunch items we were storing in a cooler. . The breakfast was good, but the flow is not set up very well and the food ran out quickly with long waits for refills. . Overall: I would stay here again just for the location, but I would come with very low expectations.”

“We do enjoy the restaurant and the staff are making efforts to improve the local Mr. Mikes on a regular basis. When possible, if a customer orders a bottle of wine, please have a qualified server open the bottle at the table. In most dinning establishments this is the proper etiquette. The bottle we received was pre-opened and re-corked. The wine stain on the cork was very dry as was the cork. This left some doubt in my mind as to what I was paying for. It tasted fine and I didn't complain but going forward this would earn you a 5 star. Overall, you folks have a fine restaurant and our family enjoys eating there.”

“Just what we needed. The interior isn't in primo shape but we stopped because we were hungry and the food was great. The owner told us as soon as we sat down, it's nothing fancy but I make good food. He wasn't lying.”

“Food was okay, service was great! The bruschetta ravioli was a bit plain; the fettuccine jambalaya was a touch dry, but loaded with shrimp and sausage. I could really taste the Bourbon on the Bourbon Ribs, but they went cold very quickly. Our servers were terrific, especially Kinzie - she was quite helpful and very personable! Overall, a good meal.”

“Super dead,, our table and three other people, When that dead, music should turn down slightly to allow for visiting, to encourage folks to stay Since you could not talk..we left. . No one was dancing or making noise... so needing to shout over music was silly. I get it being loud.. but allow for some conversation This is NOT the DJ's fault... but rather what this bar requires of its music. Noise did not fool anyone.... bar was dead... 11 pm on a Saturday..,”

“Very busy, had to wait but well worth it. The pub is attached to a hotel but does cater for non-residents. They do not take reservations. We were in the area in early July. On our first night we drove to the pub and found it to be very busy with no tables available. We were asked if we wanted to wait as a space at the bar would become available shortly if we wanted it. We said we would. The pub itself is not very big but is extremely popular. The menu is small but there is something for everyone. There were tv screens on the walls showing baseball. We’ve never sat and eaten at a bar before but the casual nature of the evening made it a good spot to sit and eat. We had a great conversation with the couple next to us who we found out were in the car behind us that day taking pictures of a bear on the Icefields Parkway near Bow Lake. We only had one course as there were no starters (only soup and salad) listed on the menu. However, the portion size of the mains was more than adequate to satisfy the soul. Having tried poutine in Nova Scotia (and not liking it much), I decided to try the pub’s bison brisket poutine. And wow, so much better. The brisket was tender and fell apart and the poutine had the right amount of saltiness so as not to be overpowering. The generous portion size meant I couldn’t finish it. I could see it was a popular dish as more and more plates were coming from the kitchen. My husband had a burger and chips and he said his was good too. We also had a couple of beers and a soft drink. Total bill with tips $95, £58”

“The braised short ribs were pretty good, tender, flavourful, side vegetables were plentiful. I would definitely order it again. The calamari was okay, they were small and had a lot of batter so it was more crispy calamari rather than the fried calamari you would expect to order in a restaurant (usually tender with a bit of crisp outside). The key lime pie was a disappointment. It was basically a glass full of whipped cream, barely a small teaspoon of graham crumbs and the lime taste was so light probably because there was so much cream. Our friend ordered the recommended chocolate cake and it was cold and tasted like store bought frozen cake. We asked about this and we were told that it was baked and delivered by a supplier. The key lime cream was done in-house, by the kitchen. The desserts could afford a change to bring it up to the level of the service, the interiors and some of the food. There is a huge window across the room with a spectacular view. It was worth going to eat in the restaurant just to get that openness. Service was good too. The design of the interiors is excellent, one of the better places in the area, I appreciated the way it was designed, much like a cozy, well appointed cottage.”

“Visited here for lunch during camping and the food tasted very good. We had a puppy and they accommodated us in their patio. Waitress are good however we ended waiting longer for food though the restaurant was not that busy. Chicken wings are good but cauliflower is not deep fried. I would give them five star but for the prolonged wait time I am rating them four star”
