“Mike was super welcoming. I was able to use a discount from my work and also get a couple of extra benefits as a gold member with Wyndham. The room I had was just in front of where I left my rental vehicle which made keeping an eye on it and transfering luggage much easier. The room was very comfortable and everything worked as expected. Walking to the top floor rhe view from the balcony is also very nice.”

“I met a friend for coffee here this morning, and ended up ordering food as well because it looked great. Hadn’t heard about the shop until now. What a treat! The staff were so friendly, the owner came out to introduce herself and ask how we were doing. Clean and bright. They serve yummy Fantastico coffee, fresh food. There is also an attached consignment athletic wear shop. It’s a bit out of my way but I will be going back for sure.”

“I’ve eaten here several times now since they opened. The ingredients are always fresh and the goddess dressing is out of this world. They should sell it in bottles! The Vietnamese salad rolls are a hit, too. Where this place really shines though is the service. The owner is extraordinarily professional and kind. He has demonstrated this consistently right from day one and he obviously sets a good example for his staff as they also provide exceptional customer service. Sometimes the wait is longer, as another reviewer has pointed out, but I think they put a lot of care into what they do!”

“A&W's burgers get home warm and the fries are crunchy. Those milkshakes aren't bad either. No vanilla though! That's a big sad from me. The sweet potato fries are good but should be eaten asap. They just don't travel as consistently. They can be nice added to the burgers. Make sure you get the chipotle dip or make some at home! The burgers taste good dipped in it too :P. The long and short of it is A&W is fast food where a bad experience is an anomaly rather than something frequent. The hormone free meat and other moves the company are an added plus. Solid four stars I think at the moment.”

“We went here after getting off the ferry for a quick dinner before driving back into Victoria and boy were we not disappointed. I had the fried chicken and my partner had the gnocchi with sage and squash. Both were perfect and far beyond our expectations for a dinner in Sidney. Cost was surprisingly low but I guess that's what happens when you're used to dining in downtown Victoria and Vancouver. We had an appetizer, two entrees and two drinks (wine and a cocktail) and the total with a 20% tip was below $100. At any rate, we were incredibly pleased with this meal and look forward to coming back here for dinner the next time we're in Sidney!”

“I really enjoyed their marinated salmon and tuna poke. Prices are typical and they had a wide selection of choices and pre-determined bowls. I was a little thrown back a bit by the attitude of the employee there when I was confused about the add ons. I enjoyed my poke with their wasabi aioli which matched very well with the marinated fish. Overall, it was the only poke we tried on the Island and it was great! Parking is a bit of a doozy though, street parking or park next door at Timmy's.”
