“The food was excellent and the wine menu was top notch, with more French wines than the average restaurant, which I appreciated. The service was good but a tad slow as they seemed a bit understaffed though I’m sure that was likely a specific issue the night we were there. We showed up without a reservation and they accommodated us. The clientele was on the older side so it might be easier to get a table a bit later ;)”

“Considering you are in Comox this place is great. The sushi rolls, bibimbap and katsu were all beyond my expectations. The service was very polite and attentive. If you are feeling the need for Korean/Japanese food this place will not disappoint you.”

“6/20/23- pros and cons Warning: DO NOT ORDER THE VEGETARIAN ENCHILADAS. They don't know how to cook enchiladas. The tortillas had too much dough . The ingredients were tiny. Practical nothing. It was severed dry, no sauce or anything. Server said they were new to the menu. You've been warned! While the views are great and the service is very good (except for the front house manager at the hostess stand with brown hair, Barbara she's extremely rude). The blonde hair hostess is very nice and considerate. The halibut is huge and severed well. I've enclosed photos of both, but unfortunately I ate it before taking photos, and left what you see because there was really nothing left to eat or see. The halibut had 2 pieces. I might come back again, but please don't order anything that might be a foreign dish. It's terrible!!!!”

“We are from out of town and friends took us here to try the fish and chips. I have to say, I wish my stomach was bigger so I could eat more!!! It's so good! I tried the cod and everything comes out piping hot. The batter is light and crispy and the fish was perfectly cooked. The fries were good and the side of gravy comes in a big container. I wish we had this at home!”

“Kayla and her team catered an English-themed afternoon tea for my grandmother's 100th birthday party. I couldn't have asked for more in a caterer - Kayla was flexible, amenable and responsive to any emails I sent. In short she made my job of party planning a complete breeze! On the day of the event, Kayla arrived with her staff to oversee and assist with the set up. The food not only looked gorgeous but it was absolutely delicious! Our guests raved about the afternoon tea and I had a number of queries re who had catered the party. In short, I can highly recommend Kayla and her team for catering - both on quality of the food and service. They were key players in making my gran's 100th birthday party a day that our family will treasure always. I'm giving Flying Apron a 5-star review - they deserve every one of them...and more!!”

“I am so happy with my experience. Driving past seeing their sign for home-cooked meals and flowers I opted for the flowers because we aren't yet shopping for meals for my aging parents. I've now been going repeatedly because they are beautiful, thoughtfully arranged and they seem to last an awful long time. When Mom & Dad are ready for meals, I know where I'll shop!”

“Amazing food, and such a hard working team. Seriously. They catered my wedding in May 2022, and it was raining the whole week before which meant the venue was a fair bit soft (venue was farmland in black creek), and unfortunately their van got stuck on their way in. Even with the delay of getting them un-stuck and an issue with a tent they had food out on time, and it looked and tasted amazing. I wish we had some pictures of the mains because it really was phenomenal, we had grilled pork with gremolata, and prosciutto gruyere wrapped chicken with tomato sauce. They paired the mains with some sides which worked wonderfully, and everything was incredibly tender and well seasoned. After the service they cut the cake for us, and even washed all the dishes. The service they provided was invaluable to us, and both the wedding and pack up the next day would not have gone as smoothly without them.”

“Perfect place to bring small children. It includes a beautiful children's garden with a sandbox and other activites, a fairy house hunt that takes you around the whole garden, bee hives and lots to see and smell. Very peaceful for the adults and engaging for the kids. The volunteers are so friendly and every visit has been so special.”

“I don’t traditionally like “energy bar” especially that most found in the stores are really protein bars packed with proteins and tasting like proteins. I recently discovered Hornby Organic bars and I love them! Chocolate and Espresso is my favourite. I love knowing all the ingredients, I love organic, I love the texture and that taste is perfection. It’s not dry like some, it’s chewy. It’s also not covered in chocolate which means it doesn’t melt all over the inside of the package on a hot day. Feels like food made from home but much better than I could make. You’ve found the right recipe guys!”

“We picked Pickled Carrot to cater a recent function for 45 people. The food and service was great. The Smoked Brisket was a hit. If there was any complaint it is that there was too much food :). Lots of groans from over eating that delicious dinner. Thanks for everything Muriel”

“From start to finish, Jody was amazing. Every possible detail was well thought out and executed. We had a gorgeous Tiffany inspired picnic that did not disappoint. The charcuterie was exceptional, so much variety. Figs, nuts, fresh fruit, a large variety of meats and cheese, pickles, dried fruit, bread and crackers. Every bite was outstanding. The flowers , and decorations were beautiful. The table settings were elaborate with beautiful stemware. I highly recommend calling jam & co for a special day out. Yourself and your guests will be wowed.”

“Lovely place! Lunch, a veggie sandwich with avocado, tomato, cheese, cucumber on homemade toast, latte and rescue cookie (don't all, just have one) was a real "rib sticker". Delicious, great owners and fellow customers including big old bulldog.”

“The best restaurant in the Comox Valley! Every par of this experience was 5 ⭐️. The server was knowledgeable, passionate and courteous. The setting was second to none. And every part of the meal was incredible down to the edible flowers. The flavour combinations were incredible, the ingredients all of the highest quality. Our favorite meal in recent memory.”

“Don't be fooled. Tim's is gone. Now it's only the Canex cashiers making coffee that you self-serve. If I'm pouring my own coffee, why does it not come at a discount? My service was great though; I gave myself a tip.”
