“We were looking for an overnight spot in our travel trailer and saw the Tuckkwiowhum pronounced Tuk-we-ohm. campground on google maps. There was a large automatic gate blocking the entrance so we phoned and a very helpful man got us registered and paid on line due to COVID concerns. The campground is down by the river and is one of the nicest settings I’ve seen. Lots of grass and big trees. Spacious sites and new bath/shower building. We have to leave in the morning but I would love to stay and explore the village they have here.”

“Great history of our province. I believe the should teach Provincial History in our school's o don't think this generation knows anything about the discoveries of gold and the little towns that grew because of it. They teach of other countries and other province's but not not our own province. Sad I think.”

“A very cool little historic building! The original building is nearly 100 years old with original architecture. Great for small to medium gatherings (maximum capacity is 50). It's wheelchair accessible, has full kitchen, stage, tables & chairs, although they are very old and far from aesthetically pleasing. Also super SUPER affordable.”

“We went for the Christmas at Kilby dinner with our elderly parents. The historic site was closed for the season but while we waited we were allowed to walk through. The farm animals were out and the museum general store was open. It was very interesting if you enjoy social/domestic daily history. The dinmer itself was delicious. A traditional turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, stuffing, 4 vegetables and bread rolls. Endless coffee and tea. Huge portions and exactly how one would expect a Turkey Christmas dinner to taste. Choice of pumpkin or apple pie. The pumpkin was delicious. We bought an apple pie to go. All in all with the great friendly service (somehow they even found hot sauce for me and my parents) it was well worth the price. Kilby Heritage Site is a very neat place to visit.”

“Nice little campground right on the river. The spots are very close together. Clean pit toilets and fresh water, no power. Bring a big mallet if you have a tent. The ground is very hard.”

“This is great spot to spend an hour or so in the area. Not as large as places in Europe (Antwerp, etc), but still quite impressive with a decent variety. If they could put platforms a few feet above the ground, pictures would be fantastic. You can also pick tulips from the designated area for $1/stem or $25 for a bucket (as many as you can fit). The high bloom season is short, so watch for it - this year it came late (May).”

“The Metzger collection is an incredible experience. With artifacts that take you through the story of ancient Egypt all the way to Greece, Rome, and the age of discovery. Would recommend to any history buffs or people with interest in biblical archeology. The tour guides are well informed and excited about what they do :)”
