Lara's food is excellent. I eat here frequently when at the library. Fresh and tasty food. Awesome sandwiches and savoury pies, and the butter tarts are to die for.

Came through here on a trip to Brier Island, very good food and friendly staff. Really neat location too, with the library and community building. Would love to visit again next time we're in the area.

Found this place from Google, and it turned out to be a great little hole in the wall! We came in with 6 people, and there was just one person cooking, so we were expecting the food to take a bit longer but it was only 20-30 minutes! The food was made from fresh, quality ingredients, that were cooked to order. All of the meals were very tasty and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Was passing through the area and found the Brown Dog Kitchen for breakfast. My company and I had the breakfast sandwich with avocado, and also the breakfast plate. Both were exceptionally excellent, especially the wood smoked bacon with the extra crisp as asked was perfect. Very cute area utilizing the town’s old school but modern menu and lovely staff. Great breakfast spot!! Thanks

Hidden gem tucked away adjacent to the Annapolis Royal library, the Brown Dog offers a brilliant pub-style breakfast with *actual* thick sliced bacon, homemade sausage, and seasoned potatoes. Burgers are just as well executed for the lunch crowd. Clearly the quality of the ingredients matters to these folks, as does expert preparation. Absolutely worth many repeated visits!
